Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain easily a photographic panel producing a superior visual effect in case of both reflected light and transmitted light by superposing one of photographic prints on a substrate so that the adhesive coated sides face each other, adhering them to each other, and removing only the base paper of the print. CONSTITUTION:The rear side of a substrate 1 and the front sides of photographic prints 2A, 2B (the surfaces of gelatine layers 14) are coated with a waterproof adhesive by spraying or other means, and the adhesive is dried. Since the adhesive on the substrate 1 and the print 2A has been already dried, the surfaces of the adhesive layers are coated with a suitable solvent and brought into close contact with each other to adhere the print 2A to the substrate 1. The base paper 11 of the print 2A is removed to obtain an intermediate product having a gelatine layer 14, an emulsion layer 13 and an intermediate layer 12 adhered to the surface of the substrate 1 with an adhesive layer 21 in-between. The print 2B is then stuck to the layer 12, and the base paper 11 of the print 2B is removed.

A transparent photographic panel can be obtained by applying a light-sensitive emulsion to one side of a substrate such as a glass plate, exposing the light-sensitive emulsion to light, developing it, and subjecting it to a fixed bath. However, the photographic panels obtained in this way also have insufficient contrast and color intensity, making them difficult to use, for example, when used for decorative or advertising purposes.
It is necessary to illuminate from the back, and when there is no bright light, the tone is dark and the display contents cannot be discerned.

In the case of photographic paper, lighting from the back side is not necessary, but the display effect is insufficient because it relies only on reflected light, and this invention does not require illumination from the front side. To provide a method for manufacturing a photographic panel that not only exhibits a good display effect with reflected light alone, but also exhibits an even better display effect with illumination from the rear side.

Next, the process of this invention method is shown in Figure c85?
I will clarify. In FIG. 1(a), 1 is a transparent substrate made of plastic such as acrylic resin or vinyl chloride resin, 2A and 2B are photographic prints reproduced from the same original plate and of the same size. These photographic prints 2A and 2B are
Take a sheet of regular photographic paper and enlarge it in the usual way to create a clear image.
The product is obtained through the steps of swamping, washing with water, and drying, and each of them is, for example, as shown in FIG. The image is formed in the emulsion layer 13.

In the first step shown in FIG. 1 (at), a water-resistant wetting agent is applied to the back surface of the substrate 1 and the surface of the photographic prints 2A and 2B (the surface of the gelatin layer 14) by means such as spraying.
Then dry it.

FIG. 1(b) shows the second step of pasting the photographic prints 2A on the back surface of the substrate 1 using a seawetting agent. Since the adhesive applied to the substrate 1 and the photographic print 2A is already dry, the adhesion of both is done by applying an appropriate solvent to the surface of each menarche layer, and then Then, the base paper 11 of the photographic print 2A is removed. This removal of the base paper 11 can be done, for example, by diligently peeling off the base paper 11, and then using N.
a Remove the remaining paper fibers using a releasing agent such as an OH aqueous solution. As shown in Figure (a), a disintegrating agent layer 21 is adhered to the back surface of the substrate 1, a gelatin layer 14, an emulsion M13, and an intermediate layer 12 are adhered, and intermediate process materials are attached. .

The fourth step and the fifth step are as shown in FIG. 2(a). It consists of pasting the photographic print 2B and then removing the base paper 11. However, when pasting the photographic print 2B in this fourth step, it is necessary to accurately match the image of the photographic print 2B with the image of the photographic print 2A, which is pasted f′1′″C. be.

The photographic panel obtained after passing through the Zenkokumatsu of Mokino is shown in Figure 2 (b
), on the back surface of the substrate 1, a layer 21, a seratin layer 14, an emulsion layer 13, an intermediate layer 12, a menarche layer 22,
It has a structure in which eight layers consisting of a gelatin layer 14, an emulsion layer 13, and an intermediate layer 12 are laminated in this order. The high contrast achieved by the precise matching of the images of the two emulsion layers 13 and the milky translucency of the intermediate layer 12 are particularly important. When viewed solely from the reflection of light incident on the surface, it appears similar to a normal print, and when the back side is illuminated with a fluorescent light, it gives the same annotative effect as a slide.

In the above example, -X=temporarily was engraved on one sheet and two photographic prints were superimposed, but when the contrast of the prints is low or when trying to obtain a special visual effect, You may stack 3 or (n or more) photo prints on top of each other.
When the intermediate layer of a photographic print is made of baryta, in order to improve its stability against water and moisture, it is necessary to apply a water-resistant separate coat to the outermost layer. As described above, the present invention has the advantage that it is possible to easily obtain a photographic panel that gives the same celebratory effect in both cases of reflected light and transmitted light.
