Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to lower the noise level of a fan, by forming recesses on the surface of a hub portion of an impeller, and producing noise silencing effect by the resonance function of the recesses. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of recesses 14 having an adequate depth are formed in the surface of a hub portion 12 of an impeller to extend substantially perpendicularly to the surface of the hub portion 12. When the impeller is set into rotation, noises produced by air flowing along the surface 13 of the hub portion 12 between adjacent two blades 11 are absorbed by the recesses 14 formed in the surface 13 which function like resonance tubes and the energy of the noises possessed by the air flowing along the surface 13 is absorbed effectively, so that the noise level of the impeller can be lowered.

When the impeller 1 rotates, it generates an airflow, and when the blades 2 cut the wind or the airflow passes through the blades 2 and the surface 4 of the hub part 3, noise is generated, which is directly transmitted to the outside as blower noise. It was reported that Conventionally, the main measure to prevent this noise has been to surround the entire blower with soundproofing material, but this increases the cost of materials and complicates the structure, which is not desirable. The present invention solves the above-mentioned conventional problems by providing a blower with a low noise level.Structure of the InventionThe present invention uses an impeller with an inlet on the surface of the nozzle. This creates a silencing effect due to the resonance effect with the material, resulting in low noise.

In the drawing, 111'i is the blade of the impeller, 12 is the hub part of the impeller, and 13 is the surface of the hub part 12. When the hub part 12 is formed by aluminum casting, the inside is also packed, as shown in Figure 3, and when it is formed by resin molding, the wall thickness is uniform to prevent distortion due to differences in cooling rate. Then, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 6, a cavity 16 is provided inside. 14 is the hub part 1
20 a plurality of recesses of appropriate depth provided in the y-perpendicular direction on the surface; 16 a plurality of through holes formed in the surface of the hub section 12 having a cavity 15; 17 a hole filled in the cavity 15; The sound absorbing material 18 is the rear shroud part.

As the impeller rotates, the noise generated by the airflow flowing between the blades 11 along the surface 13 is absorbed by the hub portion 12.
Most of the concave portions 14 and through holes 16 formed on the surface 13 act as resonance tubes to absorb noise energy carried by the airflow passing through the surface 13, thereby reducing noise.

In addition, when the sound absorbing material 17 is present, the soil acting as a resonant pipe also has a sound absorbing effect, resulting in much lower noise.
