PURPOSE:To provide a durable thick sheet feeder mechanism, by forcibly pressing a sheet by means of an elastic member having high friction factor of 0.8 or more and hardness of 30 deg.-50 deg.. CONSTITUTION:Each of holder arms 2, vertically rockably mounted to both inner surfaces of a cassette body 9, is provided at its forward end with a sheet retaining part 2a and an elastic member 4 which is elastically deformed resulting from its collosion with a copying sheet 1 fed out by rotation of a convey roll 7 to form a gap, having a size sufficient to allow the passage of one copying sheet 1, between the elastic member and the sheet retaining part 2a, the elastic member 4 being made of a natural rubber material having high friction factor of 0.8 or more and hardness of 30 deg.-50 deg..
