The magnetic head assembly consisting of the magnetic head 1 and tape guide plates 2 and 3 enters the compact cassette through the front window during recording and reproduction and is attached to the magnetic tape 4 as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. I will guide you to. Now, looking at the compact cassette, the running path of the magnetic tape 4 running inside it is uniquely determined by the compact cassette itself, and if the compact cassette is tilted, the magnetic tape will also be tilted. . Furthermore, the compact cassette has a certain amount of leeway in its mounting section, which tends to cause variations in mounting. In particular, when the compact cassette is tilted, the magnetic tape 4 and tape guide plates 2 and 3 are in the state shown in FIG. 3, and the tape guide plates 2 and 3 do not work to correct the tilt of the magnetic tape 4. , the adhesion of the magnetic tape 4 to the magnetic head 1 remains poor. Further, when the magnetic tape 4 is running in the compact cassette, the portion of the magnetic tape 4 attached to the magnetic head 1 is likely to vibrate due to the driving force of the capstan or the like or the winding operation of the winding spool.

A magnetic tape (force set tape) 15 is wound and stored in the compact cassette 14, and there are five openings 16a to 16e on the tape running surface side (front surface) of the force set 14. During recording and reproduction, the head base 11 approaches the compact cassette 14, and the magnetic head 12 enters the force set through the central opening 16c and attaches to the magnetic tape 15,
Each of the suction tape guides 13 enters the force set through openings 16b and 16d on both sides of the opening 16c, attaches to the magnetic tape 15, and suctions it.

Here, the adsorption tape guide 13 is as shown in Fig. 7 and Fig. 8 A,
As shown in B, an electrode insulating base 20 has a pair of electrodes 18 and 19 adhered to the tip of the arm portion 17a of the main body 17.

The arm portion 17a is connected to the front opening 16b of the compact cassette 14.
, 16d, and a flange 17b for guiding the side edge of the tape 15 is formed above and below the tip. During recording and reproduction, voltages of different polarities are applied to the electrodes 18 and 19 via lead wires, and the potential difference between the electrodes generates an electric field, which causes electrical polarization in the polyester film tape base, which is the dielectric of the magnetic tape 15. , and the magnetic tape 15 is attracted to the surface insulating layer 21.

Since the electrode portions 18a and 19a of the electrodes 18 and 19 have a comb-like pattern, an average attraction force is applied to the magnetic tape 15 over its entire width. As a result, the magnetic tape 15 in the compact cassette 14 is transferred to the magnetic head 1.

Therefore, the tape path 2 in the portion attached to the magnetic head 12
Even if the second magnetic tape 15 is in an inclined state (due to variations in mounting of the compact cassette 14), it is corrected to a vertical state and attached to the magnetic head 12 normally. Therefore, even if the degree of mechanical misalignment between the compact cassette 14 and the magnetic head 12 is greater than in the conventional case, the magnetic tape will be normally attached to the magnetic head 12, and no problem will occur. Furthermore, although the tape tends to tilt when the tape is running, this tilting is also prevented from occurring. Further, the magnetic tape 15 is attached to the pinch roller 2.
3 and the capstan 24, the tape is held and driven in the direction of the arrow X, and is pulled out from the tape supply section 25.
The tape is wound up by the tape winding drive section 26.

At this point, vibrations occur in the running magnetic tape 15 by the tape nipping drive section, the tape supply section 25, and the tape winding drive section 26. However, since the magnetic tape 15 runs while being attracted to the adsorption tape guide 13, the vibration of the magnetic tape is caused by the adsorption tape guide 1 at positions on both sides of the magnetic head 12.
3, the magnetic tape 15 runs stably within the tape path 22 while being completely isolated from disturbances, ensuring good recording and reproducing characteristics.
10A and 11, and FIG. 11 show modified examples of the suction tape guide 13, respectively. The adsorption tape guide 13A shown in each figure has a structure in which the electrode insulating base 20 in the above embodiment is omitted, and in each figure, FIGS.
Components that are the same as those shown in the figures are given the same reference numerals.
Electrodes 18 and 19 are formed on the back surface of a surface insulating layer (plate) 21.

The surface insulating layer 21 is directly adhered to the tip of the arm portion 17a of the main body 17. This suction tape guide 13A has a simpler structure than the above-mentioned suction tape guide 13, and functions in the same manner. It should be noted that the present invention is not limited to the above-mentioned embodiments, and may be configured with only one adsorption tape guide.

As described above, according to the force set type magnetic recording and reproducing apparatus of the present invention, during recording and reproduction, the magnetic tape enters the force set through the front window of the force set and attracts the magnetic tape running inside the force set. A guiding means for guiding the magnetic tape is disposed on at least one side of the magnetic head and integrally therewith, and a flange portion for guiding the magnetic tape is provided at the tip of the guiding means for entering the force set front window, and a collar portion for guiding the magnetic tape is provided, and Since the structure includes an electrode having a comb-shaped patterned electrode part that generates an electric field when applied with a force, it is particularly important to make the tape running in the force set actively run along the suction guide means instead of the cassette body. Therefore, even if the force set is installed at an angle, the tape can be properly attached to the magnetic head.
In addition, it is possible to run stably while being completely isolated from external disturbances, which not only improves the performance of the device, but also allows air pumps, etc. The overall structure is small and simple without using any magnetic tape, and since the electrode part has a comb-like pattern, a uniform electric field is formed in the tape width direction, and the magnetic tape has an average attraction force over its entire width. It has the advantage of being able to stably guide the magnetic tape in an optimal state.
