[Detailed description of the invention] The present invention relates to a battery storage device for electrical equipment, and its purpose is to avoid increasing the thickness of the equipment body even in thin electrical equipment such as ultra-compact cassette tape recorders. The purpose is to increase the strength of electrical storage cases and to prevent problems such as bending, denting, and warping.

Recently, there has been an active movement to make equipment thinner, especially through the disassembly of audio equipment such as ultra-small cassette tape recorders and radio receivers, and radio receivers and the like with a thickness of several millimeters are already on the market.

Such thin electrical equipment is lightweight and compact, making it easy to carry, and has various advantages.

The shape of batteries has been standardized, and there are JIS (eight industrial standards) in Japan, and IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) standards that are common worldwide, and the thickness of the device depends on the diameter of the battery.

By the way, many of the electric devices that are made thinner are of high-quality type, and in order to give the device a high-class appearance, the cabinet of the device is usually constructed of a metal material such as aluminum.

Among these metal materials, aluminum is widely used because it has the advantages of being light, easy to surface finish, and easy to process.

On the other hand, cabinets made of synthetic resin lack a luxurious feel, are difficult to form thin walls, and cause sink marks on the surface (if the change in thickness is extreme, the surface becomes depressed). However, it has the advantage of being relatively inexpensive and being able to accommodate complex shapes.

Therefore, in order to create a cabinet with a beautiful appearance and high strength without increasing costs, a structure is adopted that uses a synthetic resin structure as a base and covers it with metal plates.

In this case, if we try to keep the thickness of the device to a value equal to the diameter of the battery plus the thickness of the metal plate in consideration of making the device thinner, the synthetic resin battery storage case will be as shown in Figure 1. If the bottom surface is an opening for attaching and removing the battery, it is necessary to make a long hole B in the center of the top surface so that a part of the battery A comes into contact with the metal plate.

If this is done, there will be a problem that the strength will be insufficient in the longitudinal center of the battery storage case, and warpage will occur as shown in FIG. 2.

To prevent this, it is possible to provide a rib that connects the opposite sides of long hole B, but if the rib is simply added, the thickness of the device will increase by the thickness of the rib, making it thinner. This is not desirable as it deviates from this point.

Therefore, this invention aims to solve these problems all at once, and makes it possible to increase the strength of the battery storage case while keeping the thickness of the device to the sum of the diameter of the battery and the thickness of the metal plate. This is what I did.
