A pair of latch rollers 5 rotatable in a direction perpendicular to the plane of the
is pivotally supported on both sides of the upper end of the latch body 6, and the latch body 6 can be moved vertically and rotated horizontally by a vertical axis 34 in a latch mounting recess 32 that opens at the upper end surface near the center of the folding door 2. The latch body 6 is freely pivoted, and the central part of the front and rear side surfaces of the door panel 1 of the latch body 6 is brought into line contact with the front and back inner surfaces of the latch mounting recess 32 at vertical contact protrusions 40° and 40, The latch body 6 is urged upward by the spring 7, and the latch roller 5 is moved upwardly to the upper rail 3 by the vertical movement of the latch body 6.
This invention relates to a closing/holding device for a folding door that can be locked and detached from the lower opening 8 of the folding door.

This latch 41 when the folding door 2 is closed
However, since the latch 41 starts to come into contact with the upper rail 3 when the door panel 1 is at a slight angle with the upper rail 3, the latch 41 is fixed to the lower surface of the upper rail 3 as shown in Fig. 12. One latch roller 5 first locks on the upper rail 3, and then the other latch roller 5 locks on the upper rail 3, and the latch 41 cannot smoothly lock on the upper rail 3. Ta.

回転を損うことがないものである。As mentioned above, in the present invention, the latch roller at the upper end of the latch body, which is movably arranged on the upper end surface near the center of the folding door, is locked to the lower opening of the upper rail by the vertical movement of the latch body. Since it is releasable, when the folding door is extended, by locking the latch roller of the latch body into the opening of the upper rail, the central part of the folding door can be held on the upper rail and the folding door can be kept closed. Not only can this prevent the folding door from rebounding from the upper rail due to impact when it is closed, but the latch body is supported by a vertical axis in the latch mounting recess, so the latch body can be easily moved in the horizontal direction. When the folding door is closed by rotation, the latch body is rotated so that it is parallel to the upper rail, and the latch rollers on both sides of the latch body are brought into contact with the side surfaces of the upper rail, and both latch rollers can be simultaneously locked to the opening on the lower surface of the upper rail. The latch roller can be smoothly locked to the upper rail, and the center part of the front and back side surfaces of the door panel of the latch body and the inner surface of the front and back side of the latch mounting recess. Since the latch body is in line contact with the vertical contact ridges, even though the latch body is pivoted on the vertical axis and can be rotated horizontally, the latch body does not close to the door due to the contact with the contact ridges. There is no risk of the panel swinging from front to back, and there is no risk of the folding door rattling when the folding door is closed and the latch roller is locked to the lower rail. Since the recess is a line contact using a contact protrusion, the rotation of the latch body is not impaired in any way.
