A plurality of contact holes are arranged in parallel in the longitudinal direction of the housing, an insulating stand shaped to follow this is attached to one opening surface of the housing where the contact hole opens, and a plug pin fixed to the insulating stand is inserted into the contact hole. In a flat connector which is adapted to be brought into engagement contact with a contact fitted into the contact hole, a plurality of locking pieces for holding the insulating stand are protruded from both longitudinal sides of the opening surface in correspondence with each contact hole. A flat connector characterized in that a position regulating recess is formed between each locking piece, and a plurality of position regulating protrusions that fit into each position regulating recess are protruded from both sides in the longitudinal direction of the insulating stand.
