Abstract

PURPOSE:To efficiently prepare the title aqueous dispersion, by reacting higher fatty acid and a compound of a Group II metal in the presence of a nonionic surfactant in water while further adding at least one kind of glycol to a wet dispersing or forcibly dispersing process. CONSTITUTION:Higher fatty acid such as stearic acid and a compound of a Group II metal such as slaked lime are reacted in the presence of a nonionic surfactant (e.g., polyoxyethylene ethyl ether, E.O. addition 14 mol) in water, (process A); while the obtained metal salt of higher fatty acid is subjected to mechanical wet dispersion, (process B); and, if necessary, an anionic surfactant (e.g., sodium sulfonate of polyoxyethylene nonyl phenol) is added, (process C). 行ない、固形分50.%の脂肪酸金属塩の水性分散液を
得た。
