Abstract

PURPOSE:To print out a picture on a television screen correctly by outputting a gradational density signal as print data to a printer when a vertical synchronizing signal coincides with a copy command signal. CONSTITUTION:A synchronizing separating circuit 7 extracts horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals s1 and s2 from a composite video signal v1 from a television receiver to obtain a video signal v2, which is inputted to an A/D converter 1. The converter 1 uses pulse (p) of a clock pulse generating circuit 9 to sample the signal v2, and the gradational density signal d1. When a copy key 6 is turned on, a copy command is supplied through a CPU4, and a write command is outputted to a write control circuit 3 when the vertical synchronizing signal s2 coincides with the copy command signal c2. The control circuit 3 writes the gradational density signal in a video signal 2. When the writing is completed, the CPU4 reads the gradational density signal and outputs it as print data to a printer 5.

Generally, when a cooking program is being broadcast on a television receiver, you may want to write down the menu list and ingredients displayed on one screen, but with a conventional television receiver, you may not be able to watch it. This was extremely inconvenient as the person had to take notes on the menu list, ingredients, etc. while looking at the screen each time. Also the cooking program mentioned above! If it is recorded on a kVTR, it can be played back again, but even in that case, it is necessary to search for the necessary screen and play it back, which is a cumbersome operation.

When the writing to the video memory 2 is completed, the CPU 4 gives the read address af to the video memory 2 '1, and reads out the gradation density signal d2. This gradation density signal d2 is the print data d3
As a result, the printer 5 prints out the image on the television screen. That is, the print of the image is formed in accordance with the vertical synchronization signal, making it possible to reproduce the entire image normally.
