Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent hooking of a sheet by lapping a movable guide for switching the sheet carry paths over a fixed guide while forming the overlapping portion with flexible material and eliminating the gap between both guides. CONSTITUTION:The branch portions 21, 22 of a movable guide 2 for switching the carry path for sheet 1 are formed with flexible member and arranged to be lapped over the fixed guides 31, 32. When carrying the sheet 1 in X-direction, for example, one branch 22 will contact against the fixed guide 32 to be deformed thereby it will never block the motion of the movable guide 2. Consequently the gap between the movable guide 2 and the fixed guides 31, 32 is always covered with the branches 21, 22 to prevent jamming resulting in the improvement of reliability of carrying the sheet 1.
