Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in picture quality by changing over two reading mechanisms of a reading section stationary type and an original stationary type through the use of a reflecting mirror fixed at a prescribed position in a reading device. CONSTITUTION:A light source 27, a reading section 24 and a carrying mechanism 29 so as to read an original placed on an original reading table 26 are provided in a case 20. The reflecting mirror 25 is provided right under of an end part 26a of the original reading table. The original placed on the original placing table 21 is fed sequentially by an original feeding mechanism 28. When the reading section 24 is positioned right under the reflecting mirror 25, the content of the original reflected on the reflecting mirror 25 is read through a slit of a guide plate 23.

The reading mechanism of a reading device built into a facsimile transmitter, etc. includes a stationary type reading unit in which a stationary reading unit reads the document conveyed by a transport mechanism, and a stationary type in which a stationary document is read by a moving reading unit. Some are from static exhibitions.

A static reading device is capable of continuously and automatically reading a plurality of sheets of originals by automatically feeding the originals. However, it is not possible to read thick originals such as books and handrails. On the other hand, static document reading devices cannot automatically read documents continuously, but they can read thick documents.

Therefore, a reading device that combines these two reading mechanisms into one device was devised. FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a conventional reading device. When a plurality of single-page originals are to be read in succession, the originals placed on the original placing table l are fed one by one one by one. The document being fed is illuminated by the light source 2, and the guide plate 3
is read by the optical reading section 4 through the slit.

In this case, the optical reader s4 is stationary, and the reflecting mirror 5 between the original to be read and the optical reader 4 is located at the position indicated by the dotted line in the figure, and does not have any influence on the reading optical path of the optical reader 4. do not have.

When reading a thick original such as a parapet, the original is set on the original reading table 6 and the reflecting mirror 5 is moved to the position indicated by the solid line in the figure. As a result, the reading optical path of the optical reading section 4 is bent at right angles, the document is set on the upper document reading table 6, and the light source 7
It is possible to read the illumination of Hara Yokogori. Furthermore, the entire document can be read by moving the optical reading section 4, light source 7, and reflecting mirror 5 together in the direction indicated by the arrow.

However, according to the conventional reading device equipped with two reading mechanisms, the reflecting mirror 5 and the optical reading section 4 move together when the document is read by a stationary type reading mechanism. Therefore, there is a problem in that the movement causes minute vibrations in the reflecting mirror 5 and the optical reading section 4, causing blur in reading.

Furthermore, since the optical reading section 4 moves together with the reflecting mirror 5, the weight of the moving object increases compared to when only the optical reading section 4 moves, and the inertia of the moving object increases. Therefore, there is a problem in that uneven feeding of the moving body occurs and the quality of the read image deteriorates.

Inside the housing 20, there are a light source 27, a reading section 24, and the light source 27 so that the document placed on the document reading table 26 can be read.
A conveyance mechanism 29 is provided which integrates the reading section 24 and conveys it in the sub-scanning direction. Also, the end portion 26a of the document reading table
Directly below and above the reading section 24, a reflecting mirror 25 having the same length as the width of the document reading table 26 in the main scanning direction is fixed at an angle of 45° with respect to the sub-scanning direction. Furthermore, in the 91!1 section inside the housing 20, a document feeding mechanism 28Y is provided which sequentially feeds a plurality of documents placed on the document placing table 21. , and is reflected by the reflecting mirror through the slit of the guide plate 23. To read the contents of a document fed by a document feeding mechanism.

Therefore, when reading a thick document such as a book or a parapet, the document is placed so that the surface of the document is in contact with the document reading table 26. The reading unit 24 reads the original surface of the placed original while being transported by the transport mechanism 29. When reading a plurality of single-sheet originals in succession, the originals are placed on the original placing table 21 . These originals are sequentially taken out and fed one by one by the original feeding mechanism 28. At this time, reading section 2
4 is moved directly below the reflecting mirror 25, and the content of the original fed by the original feeding mechanism 28 is reflected by the reflecting mirror 25 through the slit of the guide plate 23, and the reading unit 24 reads it.

According to this embodiment, since the reflecting mirror 25 remains fixed at a predetermined location, the reading optical path can be kept stable even when the content of the document reflected by the reflecting mirror 25 is read by the reading n24. Therefore, there is no blurring in reading (a read image with good quality can be obtained).

Furthermore, since the reading s24 does not need to move together with the reflecting mirror 25, the inertia of the moving body is smaller than in the case where they move together. Therefore, uneven feeding caused by increased inertia can be suppressed, and higher quality read images can be obtained.

According to the present invention, in a reading device that performs stationary reading of originals and stationary reading of the reading unit using a single system, high quality reading unit 1# can be obtained in both cases. You can get it.
