Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent sponge rubber from deflecting by a structure wherein a space for interposing the sponge rubber is formed near a glass seal lip end and at the same time a rib to prevent solid rubber stock to be cast from entering said space is integrally provided. CONSTITUTION:A weatherstrip consists of a seal lip 5, a welt 7 having a U-like configuration in cross section provided with a large number of holding lips 6 onto the inside thereof and a panel seal lip 8 having a V-like configuration in cross section, all of which are made of solid rubber by molding, and a glass seal lip 9, which is made of sponge rubber and has a V-like configuration in cross section, is molded integral with said lip 5, welt 7 and lip 8. The straight parts 2 of the weatherstrip are molded in advance and, after that, the ends of the straight parts 2 are inserted in a mold 21 to mold the corner part 3 of the weatherstrip by injecting resin thereinto. The space (recess) 29 for interposing sponge rubber stock is provided near the glass seal lip end of either of a top force 30, a bottom force 31, and a liner 35 in a mold 21 to mold the above-mentioned corner part 3 and at the same time the rib 36 to limit the cast solid rubber from flowing into said space 29 is provided integrally.

By the way, normally, the weather strip structure of the straight part has a sealing lip 6 at one end, and the inner surface Vc has a plurality of retaining lips 6. It is composed of a solid rubber body consisting of a panel seal lip 8 with a dogleg-shaped cross section continuous to the bottom, and a glass seal lip 9 with a dogleg-like cross section made of sponge rubber. On the other hand, in order to improve molding efficiency, the welt 10, panel seal lip 11, glass seal lip 12, etc. of the weather strip structure 3 at the corner are made of sponge rubber l'. The weather strip structure 2 is molded from a single material of solid rubber. : integrally bonded by injection molding 1'i''

However, when the weather strip component 3 is made of sponge rubber, the difference in level at the joint 4 can be made smaller than when it is made of solid rubber, but the vulcanization time becomes longer, and the cost increases. It has the disadvantage that the appearance becomes abrupt, and it is also cheaper to form it with solid rubber.Although the appearance is also good, the glass seal lip 9, which was pressed by the sweat-wetted part during injection molding, stretches. In particular, there is a problem in that a step is created at the joint, and the contact of the glass seal lip 9.12IK against the glass surface becomes uneven, resulting in water leakage f+.

For C21, (-, sponge rubber is interposed only on the joint surface of the glass seal lip, and the straight part is weather-resistant.
A weather strip was conceived in which a corner weather strip component made of solid rubber was injected into the strip component, and the sponge rubber was foamed and vulcanized. ILl
For this 1+, K JC, it is considered to be designed so that there is no difference in level between the glass seal lips of both tanks.

However, the sponge rubber to be interposed is elastic in itself, and when injecting the solid rubber fabric of the corner weather trip structure, the sponge rubber collapses due to the injection pressure and is already extruded. The solid rubber base of the weatherstrip structure is deflected toward the joining surface side, and the sponge rubber is formed so as to fit neatly into the glass seal lips of both weatherstrip structures;
There was a time when there was no place.

The present invention has been made in view of such conventional problems, and is made by extrusion molding. 11. The glass 7-)b is inserted into the lip joint surface at the peak of the injection mold near the outside of the glass seal lip joint surface in the weatherstrip structure. Forming a space with a sponge rubber enclosing box
; It is installed in the reply that limits it.
To prevent the deviation of the sponge rubber due to the injection pressure π of the solid rubber fabric (7, therefore, the foaming vulcanization Vr of this sponge rubber is applied to the glass seal lips of both weatherstrip components). To provide an injection molding mold for an automatic weather strip that smoothly connects without any steps.

Hold the IJ structure 2 as described above, and press the glass seal lip 9 of the T-shaped rib 36.
Fully push the sponge rubber material 39 into the side space 38; 7. Then, inject the etched rubber material into the injection hole 37. Injected f'1. The solid rubber fabric flows through the cavity 22 as shown by the dashed line in FIG. However, the presence of the ribs 3θ restricts the solid rubber material from flowing into the openings 38 of the sponge rubber material 39. At this point, the injection of solid rubber is completely stopped, vulcanization is performed, and the sponge rubber fabric 3
9 is foamed and vulcanized. Therefore, the sponge rubber fabric 39 expands and fills the space without being directly affected by the injection pressure 111P of the solid rubber fabric 39, and the foamed sponge rubber is injected and molded due to residual heat. The desired continuous weather strip is obtained by integrally connecting the solid rubber 111. As a result, the sponge rubber is in its proper position and smoothly connects the glass seal lip and the abutment of each weatherstrip component.
That's what happens.

By integrally providing a rib near the end of the glass seal lip (V) to form a space in which the sponge rubber fabric is interposed, and to restrict the inflow of the solid rubber fabric into the space, It is possible to precisely position the straight part of the weatherstrip 411y on the glass seal lip of the adult glass seal lip, thus making it possible to precisely position the glass seal of the glass seal lip on both ezane trip components with this sponge rubber [,c]. Connect the rig smoothly without any differences]
2, which is the joint between the corner part and the straight part KJ? It is possible to greatly improve the sealing performance against the glass that is exposed to the glass.
