Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten remarkably a measurement time by providing a means for forecasting the highest body temperature by a body temperature after a constant interval of time has elapsed from the start of measurement. CONSTITUTION:A body temperature signal detected by a detecting part 1 is converted to a digital value through a filter 2, an A/D converter 4, etc. This converted digital value is inputted to a microcomputer 5, compared with a reference value stored in a memory 5b, and a prescribed digital display is executed on a display part by its discriminating signal. A timer 6 is connected to the computer 5, and at the time point when 50sec have elapsed from the time point when the computer 5 has received the digital value, a signal is generated to the computer 5. As a result, the computer 5 adds a forecasting rise value of a memory 5c and a discriminated numerical value, by an adding circuit 5d, and displays digitally a forecasting body temperature value on a display part 8. In this way, a measurement time can be shortened remarkably.

<Prior art> A simple electronic thermometer uses a thermoelectric conversion element such as a thermistor in the sensing part, and converts the body temperature from the sensing part into a digital (digital) V amount using an A/D converter until the body temperature rises completely. Although the device continues to measure body temperature and displays the maximum body temperature, it cannot be denied that the measurement time is long from the time the body temperature measurement starts to when the body temperature finally reaches the maximum value, making the measurement troublesome.

<Purpose of the Invention> In view of the above circumstances, the present invention provides a method for measuring body temperature under the tongue, etc., the body temperature sensed by the sensing part rises rapidly for about 50 seconds from the start of measurement, but hardly rises after that. 2.5
Focusing on the actual measurement situation in which the temperature rises by only about 0.1℃ even after ~5 minutes, the body temperature after a certain period of time (this time is assumed to be the time when the body temperature rises rapidly) from the start of the measurement, To provide a simple electronic thermometer that displays a predicted body temperature by adding a specific temperature (this temperature is assumed to be a slight rise in temperature after the sudden increase), and to make it possible to end the measurement with the predicted body temperature. The purpose is to significantly shorten the time required for measurement.

The body temperature signal sensed by the sensor 1 is then waveform-shaped by a filter 2, and then input to an amplifier 3 and amplified. Further, the analog quantity is converted into a digital quantity by an A/D (analog/digital) converter 4.

and is compared with a reference value (for example, 36.5° C.) stored in the memo 'J5b' in the discrimination circuit 5a in the microcomputer 5. In other words, it is determined whether the input digital quantity is greater than or equal to the reference value. The display unit 8 is sent via the driver 7 with the discrimination signal.

Now, a timer 6 is connected to the microcomputer 5, and the timer 6 measures the time from the time when the microcomputer 5 receives the digital quantity for the first time, and when 950 seconds have passed from that time. A signal is generated towards the microcomputer 5.

The microcomputer 5, which has received the signal from the timer 6, compares the predicted rise value of 0.1°C stored in the built-in memory 5c with the value determined by the aforementioned determination circuit 5a. Addition is performed by an adding circuit 5d. In this way, the predicted body temperature value is digitally displayed on the display section 8.

Of the three body temperature rise curves in the same figure, as is clear from the two body temperature rise curves without the X mark, the curves are almost flat after the measurement time is 50 seconds, although there is some up and down movement. In this embodiment, measurement is performed only on the curved portion marked with an X, and the program of the microcomputer 5 is completed in just over two minutes.

<Effects> As described above, according to the present invention, in a simple electronic thermometer that uses a thermoelectric conversion element in the sensing part and measures body temperature through an A/D converter, an accurate maximum temperature can be obtained from the start of measurement and after the temperature rise time. It is possible to obtain a predicted body temperature that is close to body temperature, and the measurement time can be significantly shortened from the conventional 3 to 5 minutes to about 50 seconds, making it suitable for medical facilities such as general hospitals that need to treat a large number of patients in succession. If used, it will help streamline medical examination work.
