Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the detection of a fine earth power source unable to be measured selectively with a DC ammeter as intact by connecting two resistors in series to a DC power source causing an earthing to ground the midpoint thereof intermittently. CONSTITUTION:An earth power source interrupter 14 is composed of resistors 1 and 2 and an interruption relay 3. Or earth current detector 16 is composed of a split core 10 and a ammeter 15 connected to a coil interlinked thereto. An earth current interrupter 14 is connected to a DC power source circuit causing an earthing (terminals 5 and 6) and a terminal 7 is grounded. Then, upon the connection of the power source of the interruption relay 3 to terminals 8 and 9, a contact 4 starts turning ON or OFF, an earth current flows through the route as shown by the broken line. Since an original load current will not be detected because of direct current but only an earth current overlapping the load current is detected selectively, a circuit through which an earth current (a circuit causing an earth trouble) flows can be detected easily by inserting earth current detectors sequentially into circuits such as loads 11 and 12.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention connects two resistors in series to the DC power supply line that generates the ground, and intermittently connects the midpoint of the resistors to the ground. By passing a ground current and detecting the pulse current generated by the induction effect of this current, it is possible to detect minute ground currents that cannot be selectively measured with a DC ammeter without cutting the circuit. This invention relates to a DC circuit grounding point detection method that makes it possible.

Unlike conventional methods, this method does not superimpose AC power or convert DC ground current to AC, so there is no risk of load malfunction or burnout due to ground current being shunted to the load circuit. This makes it possible to safely and easily detect the ground fault point.

As shown in Figure 1, the ground current interrupter 14 is composed of resistors l and 2 and an intermittent relay 8. Two resistors are used because the ground fault point is on the P side of the DC circuit (power supply) and the N side of the DC circuit (power supply). This is so that the device can be used in the same way on either side. The ground current detector 16 is composed of a split core 10 and an ammeter 15 connected to a coil interlinked with the split core 10.

Connect the grounding current interrupter 14 to the DC power supply circuit where the grounding occurred (terminals 5, 6) I, and ground the terminal 7. Next, when the 'Rf source of the intermittent relay 8 is connected to the terminal 8.9, the contact 4 starts to turn on and off, and the contact jf flows through the broken line path as shown in Figure 2-2.

The load current of load 11, which is grounded 10,000 times, is shown in Figure-1-1.
Therefore, the circuit current is superimposed with the intermittent grounding current shown in FIG. 2-2 and becomes as shown in FIG. 2-3. When this current is measured by the grounding current detector 16, the rise of the intermittent grounding current,
At the time of falling, a current as shown in Figure 2-4 is measured due to electromagnetic induction, and the original load current is not detected due to blood flow, and only the ground current superimposed with the load current is selectively detected. By sequentially inserting a ground current detector into circuits such as loads 11, 12, etc., a circuit in which a ground current is flowing (a circuit in which a ground fault has occurred) can be easily detected.
