Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute smoothly and exactly an operation of a titled switch by making a switch contactless by using a light emitting element and a photodetector, and interlocking between a light shielding plate provided projectingly on a push-button and a light shielding plate superposed by a light transmitting window provided on the plate, by only a depressing operation of the push-button. CONSTITUTION:In case of using push-buttons 10 of the same shape, when a push-button whose operation is desired is pushed, the push-button is depressed against a spring 40, by which light from a light emitting element LED of the push-button side which is always lighted reaches a photodetector PT through a light transmitting window 14 of a depressed light shielding plate 13, by which the light is changed to an electric signal and a desired operation is executed, but in this case, light from a light emitting element of the other side is shielded by a depressed light shielding piece 15 of the push-button. Accordingly, even if both push-buttons are pushed simultaneously by mistake, both of them become off and do not operate. Also, with regard to one push-button which is shown in a figure A is used, when a push-button having no light shielding piece is pushed, only the push-button side turns on, and when a push-button having a light shielding piece is pushed, only the side of the push-button having a light shielding piece turns on, and even if both the push-buttons are pushed simultaneously by mistake, the operation of the side of the push-button having no light shielding piece remains off.

Conventionally, push button switches for operating hoist cranes, etc., are commonly used with contacts, which generates sparks each time the switch is operated, which wears out the contacts and shortens the life of the switch, often requiring replacement with a new one. In addition, poor contact occurs, making crane operation less reliable. Furthermore, since it is a contact type, the distance between the contacts must be maintained within a predetermined safety distance, so there is a limit to miniaturization. In hoist cranes and the like, a large number of push button switches are housed in one pendant switch case so that each operation such as traveling, traversing, hoisting and hoisting, etc., is performed using a separate switch. Therefore, the switch case becomes large and may be difficult to operate with one hand.

Figure 1 is an exploded perspective view of the push button switch from the back side.
In the figure, reference numeral 1 denotes the main body block of the push button switch, which is integrally formed of a material with excellent moldability, light weight, durability, insulation, etc., such as synthetic resin. This main body block 1 has a push button insertion groove 2 formed in the center of its longitudinal direction on its back side for inserting two push buttons with a light shielding plate facing each other. Its size is determined so that it is inserted in a groove shape. In the center of the main body block, light receiving elements F T (photo long resistors) are arranged opposite to each other with the light shielding plate insertion groove 3 in between.
CDS cells, photodiodes, etc.) and light emitting elements LED
There are provided element insertion grooves 4 and 5 into which the elements are inserted, respectively. In the illustrated embodiment, two pairs of light-receiving elements are used, so that two of each of the element inserts R4 and R5 are arranged in parallel, but it is also possible to use only one pair of these elements. The element insertion grooves 4 and 5 are open only on the bottom side of the main body block 1, and -
A light transmitting hole 4a is formed in the inner wall of the groove so that the light from the light emitting element array, which is constantly emitting light, is transmitted to the light receiving element side.

to protrude. This light-shielding plate 13 has a light-transmitting window 14 formed on the upper end side of the light-shielding plate so that when a push button is pressed down, the light from the light-emitting element on the push-button side among the two parallel elements reaches the light-receiving element facing the push-button. A push-down light-shielding piece 15 is provided on the outer end side of the light-transmitting window so as to block light between the elements of the push button when the push button is pressed. The two push buttons 10 and 10 are arranged so that their light-shielding plates overlap each other, and the push-down light-shielding piece of the other push button is located at the position of the light passing window of one.
As shown here, a pressed light-shielding piece that has been cut may also be used.

The back cover 30 presses and fixes the substrate 20 and is formed into a shape similar to an element portion. The back cover 30 has a spring 4 on the inner surface for returning the push button.
0 is provided, and notches 33, 34, and 35° 36 for terminal searching are provided on both sides, respectively.
When the back plate is attached to the main body block, these four notches are provided at positions facing the upper end of the board guide and the terminal mounting screw holes of the board, and one outer end of the outer end faces of both sides of these notches is provided in the main body block. The protrusion 37 fitted into the notch 7b of

is inserted so that the push piece 11 protrudes from the top surface of the main body block. Next, place the board 20 on which a light emitting element, a light receiving element, etc. are printed on the back side of this main body block. At this time, the light receiving element is placed in the element insertion groove 4, and the light emitting element is placed in the element insertion groove 5.
Insert each part accurately. This is provided so that each element can be accurately inserted into the element insertion groove when each element is provided on the board, and the directionality of the board is regulated by the protrusion 21 and the notch 7b provided on the main body block side. Next, the spring 40 is inserted through the spring insertion hole 27 of the board, and the spring locking protrusion 12 of each push button is inserted.
so that it locks into place. In FIG. 1, the substrate 20 is seen from its back side, so when it is attached to the main body block, it is inverted as shown by the arrow.

The push-button switch assembled as described above can be used alone, but when used as a pendant switch for a crane, etc., two or more push-button switches are installed inside the pendant switch case to control the crane's running, traversing, stopping, hoisting and lifting. In each of these operations, electric wires are connected to the light-emitting element and the light-receiving element to send electrical signals for control of each operation and to supply electricity.

When using pushbuttons of the same shape as shown in Figure 1, when you press the pushbutton you want to activate, the pushbutton is pushed down against the spring, and as a result, the light from the light emitting element on the pushbutton side, which is always on, is emitted. The light reaches the light-receiving element through the light-transmitting window of the pushed-down light-shielding plate.

However, at this time, the light shielding piece of the push button blocks the light from the light emitting element on the other side. Therefore, even if both push buttons are pressed at the same time by mistake, both will be turned off and will not operate. In addition, when using one of the push buttons as shown in Fig. 4, if you press the push button without a light shielding piece, only that push button side will be turned on, and if you press the push button with a light shielding piece, only the push button side with the light shielding piece will be turned on. Furthermore, even if both push buttons are pressed at the same time by mistake, the operation of the non-shading single push button remains OFF, and only the light shielding single push button side is preferentially operated.

Since the push-button switch constructed as described above uses light-emitting and light-receiving elements, the switch becomes a non-contact switch, which extends the life of the switch and ensures reliable operation without contact failure. A light-shielding plate protruding from the push button and a light-transmitting window I provided on the plate (interlocking between stacked light-shielding plates is achieved by simply pressing the push button, so operation is faster than conventional mechanical interlocks). It is smooth and reliable, and is safe because it maintains its position. The push button switch is also smaller and lighter than conventional ones, making it easy to operate with one hand even when installed in a switch case. The interior of the switch is closed by the back cover, reducing the chance of breakdowns and parts. They are small in number and easy to assemble, and even in the unlikely event that the light-emitting element fails, the light-receiving element becomes dirty, or dirt gets in, all light will be blocked and the device will not turn on, ensuring safety even in the event of a failure. Moreover, since it can be operated with low voltage and small current, it has the advantage that even in the event of an electrical leakage, there is no danger to the human body and safety can be improved.
