Abstract

PURPOSE:To execute efficiently an excellent treatment without causing a misoperation by using a signal on a magnetic recording emulsion applied on a color print paper, in a laboratory treating process. CONSTITUTION:A color emulsion is applied on the surface of a barayta coating paper being a supporting body of a color print paper 20, and a magnetic recording emulsion 21 is applied in the shape of a wire on the rear side. The print paper 20 is capable of recording and reading an information to its applied magnetic recording body by providing an input/output mechanism of an information on a treating system in a laboratory, and records a laboratory information, a customer and film information, a print condition information, etc. When the developing treatment is executed in a state of a long size by a processor, a condition of a treating liquid, etc. are controlled by a lot number of the color print paper, and also, after the treatment, its treating condition, etc. are recorded as an information in the magnetic recording body. A cutter, a sorter and bagging are controlled by a computer provided separately, also scarcely require a person's help and processed rationally without causing an error by a magnetic recording information which a color print of one sheet each has.

On a long roll of color photographic paper, an image on a negative film is printed by a printer, and then the photographic paper is developed by a developing machine (processor). After the development process, the roll of color photographic paper is inspected by an inspector, and a mark is placed on the part of the color print that is deemed unsuitable for shipment to the customer. The negative film corresponding to the marked color print is reprinted under the corrected printing conditions. After checking and editing with an inspector, the roll of color photographic paper is cut into individual color prints with a cutter.
In the next sorter, the negative films and color prints corresponding to the customer are combined and loaded, and the charges are calculated before being shipped.

From the standpoint of streamlining the laboratory, it is desirable that print information other than images be stored in each color print. Conventionally, print information has been inserted into the screen frame portion or the back side of a color print by burning or printing. Generally speaking, printers are based on the integral neutral method and print automatically by automatically controlling the exposure time based on the image density of the negative film. However, as is well known, in special scenes such as snowy scenes or indoors under a tungsten light source, the density may vary. Measuring alone will not produce good prints with automatic printers. Generally, printing is performed using the automatic printing conditions as a standard, with corrections added thereto. This correction condition has been recorded on color prints. When reprinting a color print that was previously checked as defective by the inspector, it is extremely easy to correct it if the previous printing conditions are known. Also, when receiving an order for reprinting, if the previous color print is shown, the correction conditions can be read from it and printed under the same conditions to obtain a reprinted print with the same image quality. If print information other than this is included in the color print, such as information about which film and how many frames/eyes of the negative are printed, then the color print will be loaded together with the corresponding negative film in the previous sorter. It is extremely convenient when putting it in. Also, information such as the year, month, and day of the process and the number of the printer on which the printing was performed are also effective. However, there is a limit to the amount of printed information that can be recorded depending on the conventional information recording method of printing dots on a narrow screen frame or typing on the back side of photographic paper.

Structure of the Invention The present invention involves printing on color photographic paper from a color negative film, developing the printed color photographic paper, and then cutting and sorting it into specified dimensions in a laboratory process. The present invention provides a laboratory processing method characterized in that a color photographic paper having a part of the support coated with a magnetic recording emulsion for recording and reading is used, and the signal is used for laboratory processing.

In the illustrated example, a magnetic recording emulsion 21 is coated in a stripe pattern parallel to the winding direction of a long color photographic paper, with the center position in the width direction off. The reason for removing the center position of the magnetic recording material in the width direction is to clarify the direction of the leading edge of the magnetic recording material on the back side when the cutter cuts a long color photographic paper into a single color print. be.

In this embodiment, only one magnetic recording body is used, but depending on the amount of information to be recorded, it is possible to provide a plurality of magnetic recording bodies or to coat the entire back surface. However, this magnetic recording emulsion has the risk of curling the support depending on the amount of solvent and drying conditions. In particular, as the width of the magnetic recording medium becomes wider, the degree of curling increases (increasingly). Also, when the magnetic recording medium is widened, curling becomes thicker.
If the winding is thick, the side coated with the magnetic recording material will be high, which will cause a problem, so the magnetic recording emulsion 22 is placed in two stripes so that it is balanced left and right with respect to the center position in the winding direction.
A and 22b are applied, as shown in FIG. 2(b).

(3) A check is made by the inspector to determine which prints are defective and need to be reprinted and which are unnecessary to be discarded. The inspector reads information from the magnetic recording medium of the defective print, compares the read information with the defective print, determines the amount of correction under the printing conditions, and determines the amount of correction for the corresponding negative film based on the read film number and film frame number. This will be reprinted using a printer. □The printer to which the reprint is performed may be the same as or different from the printer described above. Furthermore, for defective prints φ and unnecessary prints, it is possible to record on the corresponding magnetic recording medium that the prints are defective and unnecessary.
