Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized color scanner with high-operability by reading highly precisely the original of a colored picture or the like by transmission or reflection and combining the rotation of a cylindrical filter with a linear solid- state image sensor to obtain various features. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light source 21 provided in a stage 1 is focused as a transmitted light 22 of an original 23 onto a one-dimensional solid-state image sensor 26, which is arranged orthogonally to the linear moving direction of the stage 1, by an optical lens 24. The transmitted light 22 passes a cylindrical filter 25 which can store the image sensor 26 internally and has a filter group, which decomposes the color picture into primary colors, combined into a cylindrical shape and is attached to a motor 27 rotated uniformly by a control circuit 28 and an encoder 29. R, G, and B filters are divided equally and are combined into a cylindrical shape. The relation between the rotation timing of the cylindrical filter 25 and the timing of the photoelectric conversion cycle of the one-dimensional image sensor 26 is set to a certain value. Thus, the color picture read in, for example, a cycle Rn is converted photoelectrically by the image sensor 26 and is read out as DRn in the cycle following the cycle Rn.

Conventionally, in scanners that color-separate and photoelectrically convert originals containing colored images, the original is wrapped around a rotating drum, and a dichroic mirror splits spot light into red (R1, green (G), and blue). (B) A color image scanner that uses three sets of color filters and a photomultiplier to read and scan images with three solid-state image sensors;

However, the one-type drum scanner has a slow reading speed, and the one using three image sensors has difficulty adjusting the three primary colors, requiring three times as many image sensors and drive circuits. The method that repeatedly scans three times required repeatability of the scanning system and had a slow reading speed. Furthermore, it must be said that it is currently difficult to receive images over a wide area with high resolution using a color television image pickup device.

As a third embodiment, FIG. 6 shows a developed view of a cylindrical filter in which a light shielding portion is provided at the boundary between each filter in order to correct uneven rotation of the cylindrical filter. In the cylindrical filter 25 as shown in FIG. 3, an R filter 251,
The boundary width of each of the G filter 2 and the B filter 253 is narrow, and the rotational unevenness of the cylindrical filter 25 due to the rotational unevenness of the motor 27 and the photoelectric conversion cycle of the one-dimensional solid-state image sensor 26 are very precisely synchronized. Therefore, the 6th

With this, the photoelectric conversion cycle of the one-dimensional solid-state image sensor 26 is switched while the light-shielding part 250 passes over the one-dimensional solid-state image sensor 26.
It is possible to easily synchronize the rotational unevenness of the cylindrical filter 25 with the photoelectric conversion cycle.
