CONSTITUTION:An air filter 2 is provided on the windward side of a heat exchanger 1 of an air conditioner, and the air is passed as indicated by the arrow (a). A wind pressure sensor 3 is provided on the leeward side of the filter 2, and the clogging of the air filter 2 is detected in an electronic control device 4 from the output, and displayed. When the clogging is generated, the wind pressure on the leeward side of the air filter 2 is rapidly decreased. By detecting the decrease with the wind pressure sensor 3, a buzzer 11 is actuated through a control circuit 8 to generated a signal sound.
