Abstract

PURPOSE:To function a contact detector completely by constructing such that the electrode wire will not contact with the detector. CONSTITUTION:An electrode wire 7 has one end held by a supporting arm 9 secured to the body in order to penetrate through a workpiece 6 and led near to the workpiece 6. In this machine the detection board 20 is constructed into L-shape where the entire face except the actual contact portion or one end face of the contact detection face 21 is formed with insulator (for example, insulation coating). The contact detection of the detection board 20 with an auxiliary supporting table 4 positioned freely in the table can be performed only through the detection face 21. A flexible insulation board 22 for preventing contact between the wire 7 and the board 20 is arranged at upper position of the supporting arm 9 with which the detection board 20 will engage through a supporting section 13. Consequently the contact detector can be functioned completely.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention 1. r Wire-cut electric discharge machining equipment, in particular, the support arm that guides the electrode wire to the vicinity of the workpiece is a support stand for the workpiece,
The present invention relates to an improved wire-cut electric discharge machining device with a contact sensor capable of quickly detecting one part that comes into contact with another to prevent damage to the equipment.

Normally, the workpiece is loaded on a table installed in a processing tank, and a fixed support stand and an auxiliary support stand whose positions are variable are provided to suit the shape, form, and weight of the workpiece. The electrode wire that runs through the object is supported by wire guides provided above and below the workpiece.

Therefore, in general electric discharge machining equipment, the support arm that guides one end of the electrode wire is moved only between the support stands of the workpiece, especially when an auxiliary support stand is provided depending on the machining shape of the workpiece. In this case, the movable space changes, and unexpected contact between the support arm and the auxiliary support for the workpiece is likely to occur, resulting in damage to the support arm or loss of machine accuracy due to contact. For this reason, conventionally, there has been a detection device that detects contact between the support arm and an auxiliary support stand on which the workpiece is loaded, or other machine parts. If the support arm containing this detection device were to come into contact with an auxiliary support stand installed at any position within the table, a contact command/electrical signal would be issued and the entire can dispensing device would be stopped.

In this case, the length of the electrode wire that is sufficient for connection is drawn out from the reworked cable 4 from the chemical pole bobbin, and the wire is passed through the upper and lower nozzles that hold the wire.
.. 1 wire is optionally located. If this first electrode wire were to come into contact with the above-mentioned detection device, the support arm and auxiliary support stand would interfere, detecting an electrical signal in the same way as the first contact, and affecting the operation of the entire machine. In other words, according to FIG. 5, the structure of the detection plate instead of the conventional detection plate a+ζ is L-shaped, and the entire surface except for the part where contact is actually detected and one end face of the contact detection surface 3υ is insulated (for example, treated with insulation). It is formed at. 1. Every time the detection plate (E) detects contact with the auxiliary support stand (4) located arbitrarily within the table. t, contact detection surface 3υ only and other parts cannot. In addition, at the upper position of the support arm (9) where the contact detection plate (1) engages through the support part 03, a wl electrode wire 7) is attached to the detection plate with a contact prevention mechanism and a flexible (for example, molded) By installing an insulating plate (rubber plate), the addition of these structures prevents the electrode wire (7) from coming into direct contact with the detection plate (a) as in the past. The flexible insulating plate (A) prevents the electrode wires (7) placed anywhere below the top of the machine from directly contacting the detection plate (4). Except for the actual contact detection surface 1), 4) is made entirely of insulator to minimize contact with the electrode wire (7).

Furthermore, in Figs. 5 and 6, the insulating plate (A) protrudes beyond the contact detection surface Qυ, and the electrode wire (7) contacts the insulating plate (A) from the upper direction of the machine. There is no contact with the contact detection surface 121), which prevents inconveniences related to machine operation that occur during machining when the electrode wire (7) directly contacts the detection plate 02 in the conventional equipment shown in Figs. 3 and 4. It is possible to do 91 things.
