Abstract

PURPOSE:To remove the loss due to harmonic components generated at a transformer by connecting the output side of an inverter through a filter to a transformer. CONSTITUTION:An inverter 2 operates by a DC power source 1. A reactor 4 and a capacitor 5 are provided between the output side of the inverter 2 and the primary side of a transformer 3. The reactor 4 and the capacitor 5 form a filter. The waveform which contains harmonic waves outputted from the inverter 2 becomes sinusoidal wave via the reactor 4 and is applied to the transformer 3. Accordingly, the loss of the transformer 3 due to the harmonic components is reduced.
