Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop the bell tone of a telephone automatically and instantaneously by detecting the bell AC signal of the telephone and driving instantly a telephone receiver lifter in response to the detected bell AC signal. CONSTITUTION:The bell ringing of a telephone 2 is detected by a coil 14 and then transmitted to a one-shot multivibrator 22 via amplifiers 18 and 20. The multivibrator 22 receives the detection signal and produces a pulse signal to supply it to a solenoid 4. Thus the solenoid 4 is energized to raise up an output shaft. As a result, a switch 32 is turned on to stop instantly the bell tone of the telephone 2. While the pulse of the multivibrator 22 is supplied to a sound synthesizer 30, and the message signal is transmitted to a subscriber of the remote side via an amplifier 16 and a coil 14.
