Claims

In a tape cassette that includes a pair of reel shaft insertion ports in the upper half and the lower half and has a window larger than the maximum diameter of the tape wound around the reel hub, the window in each of the upper half and the lower half is , when forming a transparent window plate by joining the window hole, either the joint part of each of the window holes in the upper half and the lower half and the corresponding joint part of the transparent window plate. A positioning rib having a reference surface is provided, a positioning notch having a reference surface into which the positioning rib is loosely fitted is provided on the other side, and the transparent window plate is connected to the reference surface of the corresponding positioning rib at the junction of the window hole.
