Abstract

PURPOSE:To display a simple message, a contact cable address, or the like from a caller on a pocket bell receiver simultaneously with call by encoding a dialed message data to store temporarily and transmit it by means of radio together with a selective call code. CONSTITUTION:A call number collated and confirmed in a number collating device 4 and message data stored in a storage device 6 are stored temporarily by a command of a switch device 7. They are put onto a high-frequency carrier, which is oscillated from an oscillating device 13, by a modulator 14, and this carrier is raised to a prescribed frequency by a multiplying device 15 and is transmitted by means of radio as a powerful FM wave from an antenna by a transmitting device 16. Meanwhile, the pocket bell receiver consists of an FM receiving part, a code decoding part, a bell sounding part, and a display device, and a selective call code of this pocket bell itself is stored preliminarily in an ROM. When this code is compared with a transmitted code, messages stored in an RAM are displayed successively on a segment display tube.

When you need to contact a person whose whereabouts are unknown when you are out of the house, a pager can be used by dialing the pager number assigned to the pager receiver carried by the person who is out of the house from a subscriber's FIT line on a regular telephone line. This is a convenient system that emits a ringing tone from the speaker of the pager receiver, but with the conventional system, if there are many callers, the person who is out may not know who is calling them. This method had the drawback of causing trouble in that it required calling people at random.

An object of the present invention is to eliminate the above-mentioned drawbacks and further enhance the convenience of pagers by displaying a simple message from the caller, contact code, etc. on the pager receiver at the same time as a call is made. The purpose is to increase it. That is, the pager transmitting/receiving device of the present invention dials a predetermined pager number from a general telephone line, and after checking the pager number at the calling station against the calling number assigned to the pager receiver, The announcement machine announces to the caller that the call has been accepted, converts the calling number into a selective calling code, temporarily stores it, carries it on a predetermined carrier wave, and transmits it wirelessly at the appropriate time, while receiving the selective calling code. The pager receiver is a pager transmitting/receiving device configured to compare the selective call code with its own selective call code stored in advance, and if they match, activate a bell ringer for a certain period of time and emit a ring tone from a speaker. t aside,
Following the announcement to the effect that the call has been accepted, the caller makes an announcement from the announcement machine to the caller indicating that the message data that needs to be transmitted should be dialed, encodes and selects the dialed message data. The message data is temporarily stored together with the call code and transmitted wirelessly, and the pager receiver is equipped with a display device for displaying the message data.

Lift up the handset of subscriber telephone 1 and use subscriber line 2 as a live wire face, then dial the pager number assigned to the pager receiver (key operation in the case of a telephone).
The selection signal generated by the dialing is input to the number verification device 4t of the calling station via the exchanges 3, 3, . . . and is verified against the pre-registered pager calling number.

If the verification is successful, the announcement machine 5 announces to the caller that the call has been accepted, followed by an announcement that message data can be dialed if necessary. The message data required by the caller is stored in the storage device 6 by dialing a predetermined password, contact telephone number, contact abbreviation, etc. After completing dialing, the handset is placed on the main body of the telephone and the telephone line is put into a non-active state, and this state is detected by the switch device 7. Then, the calling number verified by the number verification device 4 in accordance with the switch device 70 command and the message data stored in the storage device 6 are converted into a co-digital digital signal by the encoding device 8 and stored *[ 0 time division device 1o that temporarily stores data in 9
If the timing of transmission matches, the transmission activation device 1
1 operates and sequentially sends the data in the storage device 9 to the frequency shifting device 12 to shift the frequency using a digital signal. This is placed on a high-frequency carrier wave oscillated from an oscillator by a modulator 14, further increased to a predetermined frequency by a multiplier 15, and transmitted wirelessly by an antenna as a stronger FM wave by a transmitter 16.

On the other hand, a pager receiver consists of an FM receiving section, a code decoder section, a bell ringing section, and a display device, and its block diagram is shown in Figure 2. Similarly to the machine, the high frequency is guided to the high frequency amplification circuit 17 and high frequency amplified to the required level.
At step 8, only a predetermined frequency is passed through, and at mixer 19, it is mixed with the signal from the local oscillation circuit area and converted to an intermediate frequency. The center frequency is selected by intermediate frequency tuning circuit 21, and necessary for frequency discrimination by intermediate frequency tuning circuit 4.
