In a water heater outlet pipe connection device in which the outlet pipe side end of a heat exchanger fixed to a water heater case is connected to a hot water outlet pipe via a joint, the outlet pipe 1 end and the hot water outlet pipe are connected via a joint. A rib 12 is provided on both upper ends of the tube 7, and a joint 9 with a polygonal cross section having a through hole 10 into which a gasket 8 is fitted and inserted into the rib 12 is provided on the tip side of each tube. A slit groove 11 is provided on the outer periphery of the joint 9, and the joint 9 is fixed with a joint holding metal fitting 5 having a bend corresponding to the opposite side dimension 1 of the joint 9. At the same time, the claw portion 5a provided on the holding metal fitting 5 is inserted into the slit groove. 1.
