Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent a nozzle for charging from being distorted or damaged by the effect of heat by disposing a partition member between the nozzle and a moving die and fixing the partition member so as not to move together with the moving die. CONSTITUTION:A molten steel 1 is fed into a cavity 5 through a nozzle 3 from a well 2 as a moving die 4 moves. The molten steel in the cavity 5 penetrates into the gap G1 between the die 4 and a partition member 6 and the gap G2 between the member 6 and the nozzle 3 but the nozzle 3 and the member 6 are fixed and have no relative speeds and therefore the sliding force according to the movemet of the die 4 does not act on the nozzle 3. The deep penetration of the molten steel into the gap G1 is obviated and the member 6 is not overheated to the extent of losing its strength as the contact length L between the member 6 and the die 4 is made larger than the contact length (l) between the nozzle 3 and the member 6.

The molten steel 1 is sent into the cavity 5 through the nozzle 3 while the movable mold 4.4' takes about 1 and a half hours to move. The molten steel in the cavity 5 penetrates into the gap G1 between the movable die 4.4' and the partition member 6 and the gap C9 between the nozzle member 6 and the nozzle 3, or enters the gap between the nozzle 3 and the partition member 6. has been identified and there is no parallel 4 speed, so the moving type 4
.. The sliding force accompanying the movement of 4' does not act on the nozzle 3. (Through the molten steel that has penetrated between the cutting member 6 and the movable molds 4, 4' or the solidified molten steel that has penetrated,
Alternatively, the movable type 4.4' directly exerts a sliding force on the partition member 6 when it moves, but the partition member 6 is made of copper, for example, and even if it is moved in, the nozzle commercial People (for example, Boron Eye ≧ Ride: zz), j: are not easily damaged.
