Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the projecting part of a storage tray as a paper storing device for a facsimile device or the like to aim at reducing the occupied space thereof, by providing such an arrangement that the storage tray is provided with check members against which advancing sheets about at an obtuse angle, so that a substantially V-like shape storage section is defined between the check members. CONSTITUTION:In order to cut and store a recording paper fed out from a recording paper roll 5 which is set in an office apparatus such as, for example, a facsimile device, a storage tray 6' comprises a check member 11 secured to a body frame, and a check member 13 pivotally attached by means of a pin 12 to the lower end of the afore mentioned check member 11 and positioned downstream of the paper transferring direction. A V-like cross-sectioned shape storage section which is opened at its top is defined between both check members 11, 13 when the check member 13 is closed as shown by the solid line. Further, the check member 13 is arranged so that it makes an obtuse angle with respect to the papers 5 when the check member 13 is closed, thereby the entrance of the recording papers into the storage section is made smooth.

As a result, in the past, the tray for storing recording paper or original documents was not built into the machine body, but was attached in a manner that protruded from the machine, and the machine body was generally made smaller accordingly.

As a result, even if the main body of the machine is made smaller, the installation space during use becomes larger due to the protrusion of a portion of the tray, and there is a drawback that the machine is not miniaturized in an actual sense.

Further, rolled paper such as thermal recording paper used in facsimiles and the like has a strong curling pattern, and has the disadvantage that it is difficult to store the paper in an orderly manner on a linear tray surface as in the past.

In Fig. 1, the reference numeral 4 denotes an optical system for reading information from a document, 7 a thermal head for recording on thermal recording paper fed out from a roll, and 8 a thermal head for pressing the recording paper against a thermal head. A platen roller 9 transports the recording paper, a cutter 9 cuts the recording paper 5 into a predetermined length, for example, A4 length, and an electrical unit 10 includes a power supply device and the like.

In addition, if the trays 3 and 6 are forced to be installed in one side of the machine body 1, the re-drive system for originals and recording paper will be concentrated on one side, which will reduce the space efficiency inside the machine and complicate the drive system. This not only leads to a decrease in reliability, but also a significant increase in costs.

This storage tray 6' is provided with a second blocking member 11 made of a plastic plate fixed to a frame (not shown) of the main body l.
A first blocking member (the first and second blocking members are not necessarily plates) is rotatably fixed to the lower end of the blocking member 11 by a pin 12 and is positioned downstream in the paper conveyance direction. It does not have to be a shape, for example, it may be made of a plurality of wires arranged in the vertical direction (in short, it is sufficient if it is a member that can prevent the movement of the recording paper).

A click mechanism (not shown) is provided between the main body and the first blocking member to lock the first blocking member in the state shown in FIG. When opened, it is locked by the lower outer case 1-1 of the main body 1 in the state shown by the dashed line.

When the first blocking member 13 is closed (the state shown by the solid line in FIG. 3(A)), a loop-shaped record is formed between the upper end of the first blocking member 13 and the outer upper case 1-2 of the main body 1. A gap 1-3 is formed that is sufficient for the paper 5 to be discharged.

In addition, when the first blocking member is closed, the first and second blocking members form a storage section with a V-shaped cross section, but it does not necessarily have to be V-shaped, and both members form a storage section at the lower end. The walls may be slightly apart.

In the case of this embodiment, since the distance between the recording paper 5 leaving the paper guide path 14 and reaching the second blocking member 13 is short, the angle formed by the recording paper conveying direction and the second blocking member 13 is also small. It is an obtuse angle.

The leading edge 5' of the recording paper 5 (see FIG. 3 (A)) is introduced into the wedge-shaped groove of the storage tray 6', and the recording paper 5 is continuously fed out at the same time as it is gripped at the bottom of the groove. By using the elasticity of the paper to invert the rear end and send it out of the device, storage is completed with the leading end of the recording paper 5 being held inside the machine and the rear end hanging down outside the machine. ,
The operation can be linked to storing the next recording paper.

In this state, when the cutter 9 operates and cuts off the rear end of the recording paper, the recording paper hanging outside the machine as shown in Fig.
It is reversed in the direction of the arrow due to its own weight, and reaches the state shown in FIG. 6 in which the tip end 5' is held in the wedge-shaped groove i and the rear end hangs down outside the machine.

Effects As is clear from the above explanation, according to the present invention, by inserting the leading edge of the recording paper into the groove and inverting the trailing edge outside the machine so that it hangs down, the paper can be printed without protruding a special tray from the main body of the machine. The installation space of the machine can be significantly reduced,
Moreover, it is possible to store the recording paper in a well-aligned state regardless of the winding of the recording paper.
