Claims

An input shaft that is arranged parallel to one side of the electric motor's rotating shaft and connected to it via an input gear train, an out shaft that is coaxially and relatively rotatably connected to this input shaft, and integrated with this output shaft. A planetary gear unit comprising a ring gear provided on the input shaft, a sun gear rotatably provided on the input shaft, and a carrier rotatably supporting a planetary gear that is integrally provided on the input shaft and meshes with the ring gear and the sun gear; a cone clutch that is spline-coupled to be movable in the axial direction and selectively moved to a position where it engages with the fixed member and a position where it engages with the ring gear; and a cone clutch that is assembled to the sun gear so that the cone clutch is fixed. A one-way clutch that receives a reaction force acting on the sun gear when the cone clutch is engaged with a member and while the cone clutch is moving to engage the ring gear, and the position of the cone clutch is adjusted to the operating state of the vehicle. A transmission for an electric vehicle, which is equipped with a control device that controls the transmission accordingly.
