りトナー像が転写された用紙を挟持搬送することにより
トナー像を用紙に定着させる定着装置の上記ローラ対の
加圧装置において、上記ローラ対の一方のローラを機枠
に固定された軸に軸支された支持部材で支持し、該支持
アームと機枠に固定された部材との間に形状記憶合金で
作られた加圧部材を設け、該加圧部材はこれを形成する
形状記憶合金の変態温度以上の形状回復状態で上記の支
持部材を、これにより支持、するローラを対をなす他の
ローラに圧接せしめる加圧位置に保持し、変態温度以下
の変形可能状態では両ローラ間の押圧力の反力により変
形して両ローラ間の圧が解除され、上記の加圧部材は定
着時にはその材料あ形状記憶合金の変態温度よりも高く
なり、非定着時には該変態温度よりも低くなるようにさ
