Abstract

PURPOSE:To retain the end portion of cut filament with a retaining member brought into pressure contact with a backplate by moving a plunger of an electromagnetic solenoid to cut running filament with an edge tool, and then keeping the moving state of the plunger with a small current. CONSTITUTION:Filament 21 unwound from an unwinding reel is loaded among a contact member 17, an edge tool 19 and a retaining member 20. When the filament 21 is cut, an output electric signal of a filament break detector is changed to LOW, and a transistor Q2 is turned on the feed driving current Vd to an electromagnetic solenoid 12, so that the plunger 13 is moved. When a transistor Q1 is turned on, a current I limited by a resistor R2 is supplied to the electromagnetic solenoid 12. A movable holder 15 is moved by drive of the solenoid 12, and the filament 21 is cut and clamped and held by the contact member 17 and the retaining member 20 to be prevented from hanging down during the supply of current I.

Prior Art After the yarn for spinning is rewound from the unwinding reel and subjected to desired processing by a processing device, it is wound onto the reel again and supplied to the next process. If the yarn is cut on the take-up reel side during running, the yarn is cut on the unwind side in order to prevent the yarn from getting caught in the drive shaft of the processing device. Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 1, a cutting device used for the above purpose is placed on the winding side and drives an electromagnetic solenoid 1 based on an electric signal output from a thread breakage detector that detects thread breakage. The plunger 2 is moved to the position shown by the broken line in the figure, and the running ray 3 is pressed against the blade 5 fixed to the frame 4 to cut it, and the cut thread end is transferred to the plunger. 2, the boulder 6 is fixed to the frame 4 according to the drive of the holder 6, and an elastically deformable spring member 7 is pressed against the holder 6.
During running, thread waste and the like tend to adhere between the holder 6 and the spring member 7, and there is a problem in that the thread 3 cannot be reliably held under pressure. Therefore, the hanging yarn 3 had a tendency to be wound around a drive shaft of a processing device or the like.
