Abstract

PURPOSE:To offer a compact projection television receiver with large screen by forming the rear part of reflecting mirror as a trapezoidal form nearly where the width is narrower than that of the front part and narrowering the rear part width of a cabinet by the width difference between the rear part and the front part of the reflecting mirror than the front width. CONSTITUTION:The reflecting mirror 5 is fitted in the inside of the cabinet 4 via a bracket 6 and the cabinet 4 is formed as a trapezoidal form where the rear width of the reflecting mirror 5 is narrower than the front width to decrease the rear part of the cabinet 4 by the difference between the front width and the rear width of the reflecting mirror. Further, the light of a cathode ray tube 10 is expanded by a lens 9 and projected onto a screen 8 while being reflected on the reflecting mirrors 12, 11 and 5, and the optical path 7 of the light is narrowered as the path is kept away from the screen 8.
