Claims

In a facing head that has a head main body attached to a main shaft, a slide guide attached to the front surface of the main body, and a slide plate whose movement is guided by the slide guide, a flange of a workpiece is set on the same center line as the head main body. In this apparatus, a tool holder biased by a return spring is rotatably attached to the support block disposed on the slide guide, and the tool holder has a head main body extending from the center thereof. A chamfering tool is attached to a position eccentric by a predetermined amount toward the center of the tool holder, and an operating lever is attached to one end of the tool holder, while the slide plate is in contact with the operating lever so as to be able to move toward and away from the operating lever. A chamfering device comprising a button that rotates the tool along with the tool holder from a position where the tool escapes from the outer periphery of the flange portion to a chamfering position against the biasing force of the return spring.
