Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable the continuation of display operation by utilizing a newly generated blank part, by contracting the whole of an already drawn trend-graph by fixing the zero point of time axis coordinates while reducing only a time axis to a predetermined time axis. CONSTITUTION:The zero point of time axis coordinates 10 is fixed without scrolling the whole of a trend-graph to a left direction and only a time axis 1 is reduced to a predetermined time axis to contract the whole of the already drawn trend-graph. By this method, display operation is continued by utilizing a newly generated blank part to perform the display of the trend-graph. In performing display, the process value signal of a detector 10 is converted to a digital amount by an A/D converter 11 to be taken in a central processing treatment apparatus 12 which in turn displays the trend-graph according to the program of a memory apparatus 13 through a memory apparatus 14 and a display apparatus 15. By this method, the whole of the graph is reduced and display operation can be performed by utilizing the newly generated blank part.

A conventional graph display device of this type is shown in FIG. In the first factor, 1 is a time axis coordinate, 2 is a process value coordinate, 3 is a process value trend graph, and 4 is a screen of a graph display device such as a CRT.

To briefly explain the operation, the trend graph 3 displays the time axis coordinate 1 at 0 on the screen 4 at the same time as the command to start plotting.
The plot is drawn to the right from a certain point as time passes. When the trend graph 3 of (() moves to the rightmost position 1 of the time axis coordinate 1, the plotting operation ends, or -ff
The entire graph screen 4 is scrolled in the direction of the screen every hour without being reduced. Therefore, the oldest part of Drendog2]3, that is, the initial graph 3, was discarded, and the right end was newly drawn.

However, according to the conventional method, if the time axis coordinate 1 is taken incorrectly, the trend graph 3 will not change in total heat and will become a straight line in the horizontal direction, or the graph will start plotting at 7C.
There are a few shortcomings, such as the trend graph 3 immediately disappearing. This invention is devised so that the trend graph from the start of drawing can always be observed, except for the above-mentioned shortcomings, and is different from the conventional method. Instead of scrolling the entire trend graph (which has already been drawn) to the left, fix the 0 point of time axis coordinate 1, and reduce only the time axis to the specified time axis to display the entire trend graph that has already been drawn. It is an object of the present invention to provide a trend graph display device that continues the display operation by utilizing the newly generated blank space to shorten the time period.

In the conventional Fig. 1, when the trend graph 3 reaches the right end of the time axis coordinates, the time axis is condensed and the trend graph is displayed instantly as shown in Fig. 2. The drawing process of the trend graph 3 is continued according to the newly formed time axis coordinates. When the graph reaches the right end of the time axis coordinates again, the time axis is further condensed and the graph drawing process is continued. If you leave it alone after that, the above operation will be performed.

As described above, according to the trend graph display device of the present invention, it is possible to constantly observe changes in process values from the start point of plotting, and even if there are process values that change very slowly (if observed for a long time, changes will not be observed). It has the effect of making it easier to observe.
