Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain the same effect as a long cover against the floating-up of the paper and obtain the same effect as a short cover for a paper cutting function by a method wherein a cover is divided into two and the two divisions are linked together or can move independently. CONSTITUTION:An ink-jet printer has a function to cut the paper 17 at the position one inch upper from a printing position. Printing is performed at the position indicated by an arrow B. The paper 17 is cut by a paper cutter printer cover 9 as occasion demands. If the paper fed continues further, the lead of the paper 17, which comes off a pin 13, is advanced along the direction of a tangent of the circumference of a sprocket 14 but, pushed back by a cover 7, returned onto the circumference of the sprocket 14. After that, the paper 17 is transferred between the sprocket 14 and the cover 7, so that the floating-up and the contact with the printer cover 9 of the paper 17 are avoided.

FIG. 1 shows a conventional example. The feed hole of the printing paper 1 fits into the bin 3 of the sprocket 2, and as the drive shaft 5 rotates, it moves upward in the figure.

At this time, the paper l is pressed toward the sysprokerat 2 by the cover 4 so that it does not come off the pin 3 of the sprocket 2. However, the paper 1 that has passed through the cover 4 comes off the pin 3 of the sprocket 2 due to the rigidity of the paper 1 and is lifted to the left in the figure. This condition is particularly noticeable when the amount of paper 1 that has passed through the cover 4 is small. That is,
On the first page of the paper 1, since the amount of the paper 1 that has passed through the cover 4 is small, the rigidity of the paper 1 overcomes the weight of the paper 1 and is lifted up, so that the paper 1 may be lifted up to the extent that it rubs against the printer cover 6. For this reason, printers that print using liquid ink, such as inkjet printers, have the disadvantage that after printing, the ink adhering to the paper 1 rubs against the printer cover 6 before it dries, staining the print. . In order to deal with this drawback, for example, the cover 4 may be made longer so that the paper 1 and the printer cover 6 do not come into contact with each other. However, paper 1
In printers that have a function to cut the paper at a predetermined length, for example, 1 inch, above the printing position indicated by arrow A in FIG. The cutting position should be close to the printing position.

The present invention focuses on the fact that the same effect can be achieved in terms of preventing paper from rising even if the long cover is divided into two to prevent paper from rising. works to engage the paper feed hole and the sprocket bin for paper conveyance,
By disabling the other cover so that it works only to prevent the paper from lifting up, and by making the two covers move together or individually, it has the same effect as a long cover against paper lifting. The paper cutting function is designed to have the same effect as a short cover.

, the cover 10 is conveyed by the rotation of the sprocket 14.
Due to the rigidity of the paper 17, the sprocket 1
It comes off from the bottle 13 on top of 4. Furthermore, as the high speed of the paper 17 continues, the leading edge of the paper 17 that has come off the bin 13 advances in the tangential direction of the outer periphery of the sprocket 14, but comes into contact with the cover 7, is held down by the cover 7, and returns to the top of the paper 17. , returns to the outer periphery of the sprocket 14, and thereafter is conveyed between the sprocket 14 and the cover 7, so that the paper 17 is prevented from floating up and coming into contact with the printer cover 9. Here, the cover 7 is in contact with the body 16 through a protrusion of the cover 7, and a gap is provided between the cover 7 and the sprocket 14 through which the paper 17 can freely pass.

When cutting the printed paper 17 using the printer cover 9 which also serves as a paper cutter, the paper 17 between the cover 7 and the sprocket 14 must be taken out. When the tip of the printing paper 17 is grabbed and lifted upward, the cover 7 is lifted together with the paper 17, so the shaft rotates 180 times, and when it rotates to the position indicated by the two-dot chain line in Fig. 4, it separates from the paper 17 and returns to its original position due to its own weight. return. This allows the paper 17 to be cut.

Then, the spring 12 that had been pulling the cover 101f in the closing direction acts to open the cover 10, thereby opening the cover 10 and moving the knob 20 to the position shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. At this time, the magnet 19 on the knob 20 is located directly below the magnet 8 attached to the cover 7, and as described above, the magnet 19 and the magnet 8 are attached so that the same poles face each other.
They repel each other, and the cover 7 is lifted and rotated around the shaft 100 by this repulsive force. At this time, if the magnets 19 and 8 have sufficiently strong magnetic force, the cover 7 can be lifted to the position shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 4. In this state, the paper 17 can be loaded.

When the cover 10 is closed by pulling the knob 20 after loading the paper 17, the magnets 19 and 8 are also separated, the repulsive force is weakened, and the cover 7 is also closed by its own weight. In this way, cover 1
Even if 0.7 is divided into two parts, it is possible to load the paper 17 by only opening and closing one cover 10.

In the embodiment described in E, in order not to reduce the operability such as loading the printing paper 17 when the cover 7.10 is divided into two parts, a magnet is installed so that the cover 7.10 divided into two parts can be operated in conjunction with each other. Although the example using the magnet 8.19 has been described, the interlocking of the cover 7.10 does not have to be based on the magnet 8.19.

For example, by adding a mechanism for forcibly opening and closing the paper lifting prevention cover 7 using a relenoid or the like, and paying attention to the fact that preventing the printing paper 17 from lifting up is only necessary while the printer is printing, The structure may be such that the cover 7 is closed only during the printing operation, and the cover 7 is kept open at all other times. Furthermore, although the cover 7 is lowered toward the sprocket 14 by its own weight, a spring weaker than the repulsive force of the magnets 8 and 19 may be provided, and the cover 7 may be lowered by the spring.
