Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the opening/closing accuracy of a holder and to maintain a highly reliable detection state for a long period of time, by detecting the tip position of the picture receiving paper through a pierced hole drilled on a drum and by a transmission system. CONSTITUTION:A holder 7 is pushed toward the outer circumference of a drum 8 against a spring 12 by a releasing means (not shown in the figure). Thus image receiving paper can be inserted. When the image receiving paper reaches the position shown by an alternate long and short dush line, light of a light emitting diode 9 is cut off by the image receiving paper. Then a photosensor 10 is actuated to shunt said releasing means, and the holder 7 is pulled toward the center of the drum shaft by the spring 12. Then the holder 7 is pressed onto the circumference of the drum 8 while holding the tip of the image receiving paper. Thus the image receiving paper is held.

Conventional configuration and its problems In order to obtain color recording, color materials of cyan, magenta, and yellow, which are the primary colors of color recording, are used. After recording one screen with the first color, for example, cyan, the second color is recorded. .. A common method is to overlay the third color on top of the first color record. When using this method, it is necessary to align the three color records on the receiver paper so that they do not zoom out.

Therefore, in order to eliminate this color shift, the image-receiving paper is placed in close contact with a drum whose circumference corresponds to the length of the image-receiving paper.
The drum is rotated three times and one color is recorded for each rotation, and the recording position is controlled by the rotational position of the drum. In this case, it is necessary to wind the image-receiving paper around the drum, but to do so, it is necessary to firmly hold the leading edge of the image-receiving paper with a holder. FIG. 1 shows an example of a transfer type color recording device, where 1 is a holder, 2 is a drum, 3 is an image receiving paper, 4 is a recording head, 5 is a transfer paper carrying color material to be transferred, and 6 is an image receiving paper. It is an optical sensor to detect the tip of the

If we were to make such a recording device usable in ordinary homes, we would be able to create a system in which all we had to do was to put receiver paper into the device, and the device would do the rest automatically, and the recorded receiver paper would come out automatically. is desirable. The first step is to perform the following actions.

That is, it detects that the image-receiving paper has reached a predetermined position in the holder 1, closes the holder 1 as shown in Figure 2, firmly holds the leading edge of the image-receiving paper, and then automatically rotates the drum 2. The recording head 4 is pressed against the drum at the drum position shown in FIG. 3, and recording of the first color is started. When the recording of the first color is completed, the recording head 4 temporarily retreats to the position shown in FIG. 1, while the drum 2 is set at the recording start position of the first color shown in FIG. is the take-up reel (
(not shown), the second color is located, and then the recording head is pressed as shown in FIG. 3 to record the second color. Thereafter, the third color is recorded in the same manner, and the color recording is completed.

Here, in order to detect that the leading edge of the image receiving paper has entered the holder 1, a reflective photo sensor has conventionally been used since it is not possible to provide a sensor inside the rotating drum. In this case, either the drum surface is made black and the difference in the amount of reflected light is taken from the white of the attached image-receiving paper, or the drum surface is made a reflective surface and the difference in light amount is taken by blocking light with the image-receiving paper. As the paper is used, paper dust and the like adhere to it, and the difference in light intensity between the paper and the image receiving paper eventually decreases, making the detection operation unstable. Further, the reflective sensor has the problem that the distance from the detection surface to the mounting position is delicate, and the mounting sometimes requires adjustment, resulting in a lack of productivity.

Structure of the Invention The present invention involves holding the leading edge of an image receiving paper by a holding part provided on a part of the outer periphery of a drum, and recording a plurality of color materials by sequentially overlapping a plurality of color materials on the image receiving paper, which is sequentially wound around the drum starting from the leading edge. The device obtains a color image by controlling the drum, the drum having a light guide path passing through the holding section, and a light detection means fixedly provided in the vicinity of the drum, wherein the drum is configured to open and close the holding means. The color copying apparatus is characterized in that the presence or absence of the image-receiving paper is detected when the image-receiving paper is in a possible position.

8 is a holder, 8 is a drum, 9 is a light emitting diode, 10 is a photosensor, and 11 is a through hole made in the drum 8. A spring 12 is attached to the end of the holder 7, and the spring 12 urges the holder 7 toward the axial center of the drum 8. The holder 7 is movable along a groove 13 provided in the drum 8 in the radial direction of the drum. The through hole 11 is formed from the end surface of the drum 8 to the holder 7.
A light guide path is formed by opening at a position corresponding to the notch τ' in the center. The light emitting diode 9 and the photosensor 1o are located at both ends of the through hole 11 and are fixedly attached to a chassis (not shown), and the drum 8 is in the position shown in FIG. 4 where the image receiving paper 14 can be inserted. At some point, the photosensor 10 can detect the light of the light emitting diode 9 through the hole 11. The notch in the center of the holder 7 is designed not to obstruct the optical path from the light emitting diode 9 to the through hole 11.
