Abstract

PURPOSE:To allow a head to trace a recording track accurately by moving the head in the same direction with the rotational axis line of a rotary drum, and utilizing a moving coil and a permanent magnet. CONSTITUTION:One terminal of an elastic member 15 which extends toward the direction crossing the rotational axis line of the rotary drum 3 is fixed thereto, and the head 8 is fixed to the other terminal of the elastic member 15 and movable in the same direction with the rotational axis line of the rotary drum 3. One terminal of a connecting rod 18 is fixed to the elastic member 15 or a base metal 17 and the moving coil 19 is fixed to the other terminal. The permanent magnet 20 for generating an electromagnetic force to the coil 19 is arranged fixedly on the rotary drum 3. When a current is flowed to the coil 19 througha rotary transformer 9, the electromagnetic force operates and the head 8 moves in the rotational axis direction of the rotary drum 3.
