Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain a table conveyer chain which is light and strong by fixing a top plate formed of a synthetic resin on each upper surface of a steel plate link having a flat upper surface, the front and reat of which are coupled in such a manner as to freely bend at the time of forming. CONSTITUTION:A chain link 1 made of a stainless plate has a longitudinal elongated hole 2 at the central part thereof, and the front and rear portions coupled at hinge-like downward curled connecting portions 3, 4 by a pin. In this case, a top plate 5 is formed of synthetic resin and provided with projecting portions 6, 7 projected from the above link 1 to both sides and adapted to insert into each other in such a manner as to bend at the time of connecting the link 1, concave portions 8, 9 and a projecting portion 10 projected downward from the elongated hole 2, which are mounted at the front and rear portions thereof. The thus constructed top plate 5 is closely adhered to the link 1 to be integral therewith. Thus, a light and strong table conveyer chain can be attained.

Conventionally, in table conveyor chains that circulate in a vertical plane and have the front and rear ends of the top plate connected to each other with pins in a hinge-like manner, the top plate is entirely made of steel or synthetic resin, and the top plate is made of steel or synthetic resin, and the rail material is From the viewpoint of abrasion resistance, it has been common to use different materials, such as synthetic resin for the former and steel for the latter. Therefore, the former has high strength but is heavy and the rail is expensive, while the latter is light and the rail is cheap but has the disadvantage of low strength.

An object of the present invention is to provide a table conveyor chain that eliminates the above-mentioned drawbacks of the conventional table conveyor chain. For this purpose, in the present invention, a synthetic resin top plate is fixed to the steel plate links that receive chain tension during molding.

Detailed explanation of the present invention will be given below. Reference numeral 1 denotes a chain link made of a stainless steel plate, which has a longitudinally elongated hole 2 in the center, and has a connecting part 3.4 which is curled downwardly in the form of a hinge at the front and rear parts. are binned together. Reference numeral 5 denotes a top plate made of synthetic resin, which protrudes from the link 1 on both sides and projects downward from the protrusion 6.7, recesses 8 and 9, and the elongated hole 2, which bend into each other when the front and rear links are connected. It has a protrusion 10.

The top plate 5 has a substantially uniform thickness, but the connecting portions 3,
The upper side of the connecting portion 3.4 has a curved surface 11 whose thickness gradually decreases toward the front and rear ends of the connecting portion 3.4, and the upper surface of the protruding portion 6.7 also has a curved surface that is laterally aligned with the curved surface 1. The outer periphery of the protruding portion 1o slightly protrudes from the outer periphery of the elongated hole 2 to firmly connect the top plate 5 to the link 1. Therefore, from the point of view of bonding strength alone, the height of the protrusion 1° may be lowered as shown in Fig. 4, and a hole of another shape may be provided in place of the elongated hole 2 to protrude around it. It may also be a shape. If the protruding part 10 is formed to be elongated in the longitudinal direction in the elongated hole 2 and the height is increased as shown in Fig. 3, the protruding part 10 is formed in the circumferential direction at the center of the tooth of the chain sprocket. It fits into the groove of the sprocket and helps prevent it from becoming disengaged from the sprocket.

When the link 1 is placed on the lower mold 12 and the upper mold 13 is completely tightened, a cavity 14 is provided between the lower mold 12 and the upper mold 13 extending laterally on the lower surface of the link 1, and a protrusion 10 is formed on the upper mold 13.
A cavity 15 corresponding to the above is provided facing the elongated hole 2, and the molten resin is press-fitted into the cavity 14.15.

The top plate 5 formed as described above adheres well to the links 1, allowing the chain to be made lightweight, with low operating noise, preventing damage to transferred items when loading/unloading or falling over, and making the rails made of stainless steel. It has the advantage that it can be manufactured inexpensively from steel, and since the chain tension is received by the links 1, it has higher breaking strength than a resin chain and is better against chain wear and elongation. In addition, since the top plate 5 has good accuracy in its own dimensions and the dimensions relative to the link 1, the gap between the front and rear of the top plate 5 when the link 1 is connected can be reduced, making it suitable for transporting small items. It is.
