PURPOSE:To improve the paper separating function as well as the accuracy in counting by taking in some sheets of paper by means of a draw-out roller and a take-in roller which have frictional and non-frictional surfaces respectively, sending them into a separating roller, and stopping the rotation of said separating roller as the paper enters said separating roller. CONSTITUTION:As a draw-out roller 3 rotates in the (b) direction, a take-in roller 7 which is frictionally brought in contact with the draw-out roller 3 rotates in the (c) direction. And, a separating roller 4 which is interlocked by means of gears 8, 9, rotates in the (d) direction.
