Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) A fixed arc contact in a container filled with insulating gas, a movable arc contact disposed opposite to the fixed arc contact so as to be able to approach and separate, and an arc generated between the two arc contacts when cut off. In the gas breaker, an arc extinguishing chamber is disposed including a buffer device for extinguishing the arc by spraying the insulating gas on the gas breaker, and the arc extinguishing chamber is supported in the container by a support insulating cylinder via a center piece. The device is composed of a buffer piston and a buffer sill that fits on the outside of the buffer piston and slides in conjunction with the movable arc contact, and the insulating gas after the arc is extinguished is supplied to the hollow part of the movable arc contact. The gas is discharged to the outside of the arc extinguishing chamber via a first gas discharge port provided on the movable arc contactor and a second gas discharge port provided on the buffer piston. The second gas exhaust port is located near a plane that includes the central axis of the movable arc contact and is perpendicular to the axial direction of the supporting insulating cylinder, and the second gas exhaust port is located near the plane that includes the central axis of the buffer piston and is perpendicular to the axial direction of the supporting insulating cylinder. A gas breaker, characterized in that the opening angle of the first gas exhaust port is smaller than the opening angle of the second gas exhaust port, which is disposed near a plane perpendicular to the axial direction of the support insulating cylinder.
