Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory print with a relatively low voltage by impressing a voltage between the conductive ink put into an ink container and recording paper and atomizing the ink thereby obtaining the electrostatically charged ink mist to be stuck on the recording paper on which an electrostatic latent image is formed. CONSTITUTION:Conductive ink 2' is obtd. by removing impurities from the ink and adding an inorg. salt such as sodium salt or potassium salt thereto. An electric power source 8' is connected between an electrode 7' disposed on an ink container 1 and the ground, and a rotary support 9 is grounded as well. A voltage is impressed between the ink 2' in the container 1 and the support 9, and the ink 2' is electrostatically charged to a single polarity. The ink 2' is excited by an ultrasonic oscillator 6 and is atomized. The atomized ink is suspended in the space part 11 in the container 1. The electrostatically charged conductive mist is run into a duct 3 by the operation of a pump 4 and sticks on electrostatic recording paper 10 in window 5, by which the electrostatic latent image on said paper is developed. The generation of uneven printing is thus made difficult and the good chromaticity is obtd.

By the way, in the above-mentioned conventional printing apparatus, ink mist adheres to the electrode (7) in the ink container ill during use, and the inter-electrode withstand pressure decreases considerably, causing the voltage between the electrode (7) and the ink container fi+ to deteriorate. Poor insulation makes it difficult to discharge.

21 Structure of the Invention The present invention is directed to a printing method in which a charged ink mist is attached to a recording paper on which an electrostatic latent image has been formed and developed, and the charged ink mist is mixed with a conductive ink contained in an ink container to generate an electrostatic latent image. A voltage is applied between the recording sheets to atomize the conductive ink in the ink container. do. In the figure, the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1 indicate the same parts, and the explanation will be omitted. The only difference from FIG. 1 is the means for charging the ink. That is, as shown in Fig. 3, (the nail is conductive ink, and 21 is the process of removing impurities from the ink, adding inorganic salts such as sodium salts and potassium salts to the ink, etc.) (7) is an electrode disposed on the string ink container (1), and a power source (8) is connected between this electrode (7) and the ground. The body (9) is also grounded using appropriate means. Therefore, the ink (2) in the ink container (1) and the rotating support body (9) are grounded.
), and as a result, the conductive ink (2) is unipolarly charged, and this charged conductive ink (
2') is atomized by vibration by the ultrasonic vibrator (6),
The electrically charged conductive ink mist flows into the duct (3) from the pump (4), and is electrostatically discharged by the pump (5). Recording paper (1
It adheres to 0. and becomes a palm image.

In addition, in the above-mentioned missing example, by applying a voltage between the sex ink (2) and the ground and grounding the rotating support (9), the above-mentioned tie/telephone pole ink (21) and electrostatic recording Paper (10
・Although a potential difference is created between the electrostatic recording paper (10'), it is possible to avoid applying an unnecessary potential to the electrostatic recording paper (10') by using appropriate means. Of course, it is sufficient to maintain the potential difference between the two.

E.9 Effects of the Invention According to the present invention, unlike the conventional charging method using discharge, the electrification state of the ceramic electrode is stabilized, and insulation properties can be easily ensured. By using this stable fluorescent particulate ink, printing unevenness is less likely to occur and excellent chromaticity is obtained, and halftone and degreased printing is also possible, greatly improving print quality. do. Furthermore, a large amount of charged ink mist can be obtained at one time with a relatively low voltage without requiring a high voltage. Furthermore, there is no need to clean the electrodes, maintenance is very simple, and high voltage is used. This also reduces the risk of injury, allowing workers to work safely. In addition, since the amount of ink can be controlled by adjusting the output of the ultrasonic vibrator and adjusting the feed rate of the pump, it is easy to adjust the print brightness and shade, and it is also easy to adjust the amount of charge of the ink.
