Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

(1) In an optical coupler that optically couples two optical fibers through a transparent plate-like body, each of the two optical fibers is attached to a glass plate using a suction cup equipped with an annular piece for forming an annular cavity on the periphery. An optical coupler characterized in that the optical fiber is held by suction on both sides, and the optical fiber is pressed against a glass plate by a spring whose both ends are fixed to the optical fiber and a suction cup.

(2) The optical coupler according to claim 1, wherein a silicon resin is interposed between the optical fiber and the glass plate.

(3) The optical coupler according to claim 1, wherein a focusing rod lens is interposed between the optical fiber and the glass plate.

(4) The optical coupler according to claim 3, wherein a silicone resin is interposed between the focusing rod lens and the glass plate.
