PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts, raise the productivity and assembling operability, cut down the cost and lessen noise during the working period of a printer by a method in which the cross section of a carriage shaft is shaped into a polygonal or oblong form and a head is allowed to be vertically driven by the rotation of the carriage shaft. CONSTITUTION:The cross section of a carriage shaft is shaped into an oblong form, and the shape of the carriage shaft insertion hole of a carriage 9 is also of the same as the carriage shaft 10. The carriage shaft 10 is rotatably attached to a chassis 11, and a lever 12 is attached to one end of the carriage shaft 10 and also to a plunger 6. 品点数を削減し、コストダウン、生産性及び組み立て作
業性を向上させ、動作時における騒音の低減なとの効果
を得ることのできるきわめて有利なものである。
