In an electric kotatsu equipped with a rectangular outer frame, legs fixed to the four corners of the outer frame, and a table plate placed on the upper part of the outer frame, a top plate part 8 is provided at each of the four corners of the outer frame 2 to cover the top and side surfaces thereof.
