Claims

A take-out means theory that takes out banknotes of a single denomination one by one that have been inserted all at once, a counting means that counts the number of bills taken out by the third take-out means, and a predetermined number of divided bills by this counting means. A comparison means that outputs a coincidence signal when counted, a plurality of deposit boxes for storing the bills taken out by the taking out means via a switching gate, and detects the presence or absence of stored bills in each deposit box. A detection means stores bills in one deposit box in a predetermined priority order until the coincidence signal is output, and when the two-number signal is obtained, activates the switching gate to store the bills in the next priority order. When the banknotes are stored in the safe and the presence of the banknotes in the safe deposit box for which sorting has been completed is detected by the detection means, the switching is performed so that the next sorting is stored in an empty safe deposit box with a high priority. 1.
