[Detailed description of the invention] This invention relates to a tip-changeable pressure bar for veneer lace or veneer cutting machines such as slicers.
The purpose of this is to attach and detach a wear-resistant tip that is divided into a plurality of pieces in the direction along the cutting edge in the area that applies pressure near the boundary between the wood and the veneer near the cutting edge for cutting the veneer. Moreover, when the tip is installed, the tip is fixed safely and reliably, and the tip can be easily replaced to improve work efficiency, and a sufficient pressure effect can be obtained with a low-cost pressure bar. There is a particular thing.

As is well known, pressure bars are used to improve the quality of cutting veneers by preventing tip cracking, and depending on how they are not managed, this can lead to a decline in the quality of the veneers.

In any case, it is inevitable that the pressure bar will wear out due to long-term cutting, and parts of it may become damaged due to stones and metals present in the raw water. It's not an easy thing to do and requires a lot of care.

In particular, when polishing a worn or damaged pressure bar using a knife polisher, the entire pressure bar is actually removed from the veneer lace body, which is not easy to do and may cause some parts to be damaged. In some cases, it is necessary to polish the entire length of the pressure bar, which is extremely wasteful.

On the other hand, the chipped and worn parts occur at the tip of the so-called pressure bar that presses the wood, so even if the pressure bar is divided into multiple parts and only the chipped pressure bar is replaced, the tip part will be replaced. If it is not possible, economical efficiency will not be improved, so this invention focuses on this point and aims to improve workability and economical efficiency by making the wear-resistant tip easily attachable and detachable. An example of its implementation is shown in the drawing. The explanation is as follows.

However, the shape and mounting means of the pressure bar 3 are not limited to the illustrated embodiment, and the design can be changed in various ways, and the width of the divided pressure bar 3 can also be designed as appropriate. Actually, one with a width of 30 mm was used.

On the other hand, if the tip 7 is made of cemented carbide, it has the advantage of being highly wear resistant and easy to be formed into circular or polygonal cross sections, but by standardizing the shape, accurate positioning can be achieved. Become.

Furthermore, when the tip 7 is installed in the groove 8, it is held safely and securely so that it will not come off or shift laterally due to vibration or friction with the wood, and the tip 7 can be replaced. If it is not easy to remove and install, the initial purpose will not be achieved and it will become meaningless.
A mounting seat 9 is formed which partially communicates with the groove 8.

The mounting seat 9 is formed to a depth such that its bottom overlaps the bottom of the groove 8, and a pressing member 10 is inserted into the mounting seat 9 to press the chip 7 from the portion where the groove 8 and the mounting seat 9 communicate. At the same time, the tip 7 is locked by mutual frictional force.

FIG. 5C shows an example of a practical embodiment in which the elastic member 10 is made of rubber 10C. In this case, the elastic member 10 is slightly larger in shape than the mounting seat 9, and is used under pressure.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG.
0, a pressing force f acts, and its component force f1 presses the chip 7 against the side wall of the groove 8, and f2 acts to push the chip 7 into the bottom of the groove 8, so that the chip 7 is held extremely firmly.

Next, if the pressing member 10 is not held in close contact with the mounting seat 9 at all times, the chip 7 will eventually shift, so a distance collar is provided to prevent the pressing member 10 from lifting off from the mounting seat 9. It is equipped with 11.

If the tip 7 is directly fixed with a screw, for example, the screw thread may be crushed due to frequent tip replacement, or it may be corroded by tree sap, etc., and it is time-consuming to attach and detach, making it unsuitable for quick work. If the pressure bar 7 is soldered, even if the pressure bar is divided, it must be replaced together with the chip, which is uneconomical.

In this invention, a wear-resistant chip is removably attached to the wood pressurizing part of the pressure bar, which is subject to the most wear, so that it can be safely and securely fixed and easily replaced by the pressing action of the elastic member. Because it is a pressure bar, even if a part of the tip is damaged or worn out due to stones, iron, etc. mixed in the log, it is enough to replace only that part of the tip, and the other pressure bars will not be affected at all. It is.

However, since the pressure member is always held by the resistance collar, there is no risk of the pressure member falling off or being lost when replacing the tip, and as mentioned above, replacing the tip is easy and requires less work. It is excellent in terms of performance and economy.

In addition, we have rationally solved the problem that if the pressure member is not held stably, the chip will eventually fall off, making it impossible for the pressure bar to function stably over a long period of time. It is of high practical value.
