Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

A center core of a flexible disk having a center hole into which a spindle of a disk drive device is inserted for holding a flexible magnetic disk and centering the disk, comprising a sheet metal core member having the center hole. The inner recess of the center hole of the core member has a pair of tapered surfaces against which the circumferential surface of the spindle comes into contact, and a pair of tapered surfaces are installed in the center hole of the center core opposite to the tapered surfaces to connect the spindle to the pair of tapered surfaces. A center core of a flexible magnetic disk, characterized in that a spring bearing and a surface are respectively formed to support both ends of a leaf spring for pressing against a tapered surface of a leaf spring.
