DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber type processing device, and more specifically, a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber type processing device, which is used for reverse osmosis, gas separation, blood purification, etc., without leakage. As for blood processing devices, the present invention provides a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber type processing device that is free from the risk of blood coagulation.

In many conventional hollow fiber type fjp4 processing devices, as shown in FIG. The opening of the hollow fiber bundle is surrounded by a header 4 for fluid circulation via an O-ring 6, and the header 4 is connected to the tube sheet 3 by a cap 5 that surrounds the header and locks with the cylindrical body 2. Due to the elasticity of the O-ring 6 pressed against the outer end surface, the header 4 seals the opening of the hollow fiber bundle l on the outer end surface of the tube sheet 3.

However, the outer end surface of the tube sheet where the hollow fiber bundle is opened is formed by using a resin such as polyurethane, silicone, or epoxy at the end of the cylindrical body so that the end of the hollow fiber bundle arranged outward beyond the outer end surface is used as the end surface of the tube sheet. Since the tube sheet is obtained by potting and cutting the formed potting body, if there are air bubbles on the cut surface, a concave part will be created on the outer end surface of the tube sheet, and the concave part will be in contact with the O-ring. In the case of a blood processing device, when the recess is located in the periphery away from the opening of the hollow fiber bundle, there is a tendency for blood to clot due to stagnation of blood within the recess. Therefore, bubble-free potting is required, but it is difficult to solve this problem, and even centrifugal potting is nearly impossible to achieve bubble-free potting, resulting in a considerable number of products being defective.

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a hollow fiber type processing device to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks.Examples will be described below with reference to the drawings. A plastic stopper 11 made of polyurethane, silicone, epoxy, etc., which has an opening 12 for converging the hollow fiber bundle in the center of the direction, is inserted into the cylindrical body 2 which is fitted or glued to the open end, and the condensing opening 12 is inserted into the cylindrical body 2. The outer end of the hollow fiber bundle is positioned on the side beyond the hole, and this arrangement can be carried out in any suitable order. The focusing opening is used to restrain the hollow fiber bundle so that the opening on the outer end surface of the tube sheet of the hollow fiber bundle is placed at a predetermined position in a later step. .

Next, as shown in FIG. 3, the outer end of the hollow fiber bundle 1 is wrapped around the end surface of the cylindrical body 2 using a mold (not shown) and potted with plastic such as polyurethane, silicone, or epoxy by known means. After curing, the potting portion is cut together with a part of the stopper 11 using known means to obtain the outer end surface 14 of the tube sheet in which the periphery of the opening surface of the hollow fiber bundle is free of air bubbles, as shown in FIG. The contact surface with the O-ring 6 shown in is bubble-free, and there is no risk of leakage from the contact surface, and the tube sheet around the opening of the hollow fiber bundle is also bubble-free. Even when used as a blood processing device, there is no blood clot caused by stagnation of blood in the recesses on the tube sheet formed by air bubbles, and blood flows near the opening of the hollow fiber bundle, so even if this area Even if there are depressions on the tube sheet, there is no clotting due to blood stagnation.

Of course, when used as a blood processing device, it is necessary to select medical grade materials with good blood compatibility for the plug and potting plastic, and materials suitable for this purpose are easily available. ,
By attaching a header for fluid circulation using known means as shown in FIG. 1, a hollow fiber type processing apparatus without leakage or blood coagulation is completed.

In addition, in the experience of the present inventor, there is a tendency for the potting material to be insufficiently filled into the contact area between the focusing opening wall of the plug body and the hollow fibers, and when cutting the potting part to open the hollow fiber bundle, the potting material tends to be insufficiently filled. In order to prevent this, the plug body 11 may be formed as shown in FIG.
Appropriate means such as arranging annular ribs on the inner wall of the bundle opening may also be adopted.
