A voice signal is inputted from input terminal 1 via amplifier A1, divided into voice signals for each narrow frequency band by first bandpass filter group F1, and divided into voice signals for each narrow frequency band by amplitude value detection circuit group C. The amplitude value of the voice signal component is detected, and the detected signal voltage is used as the control voltage of the voltage control amplifier group A2.

In this way, the volume of the audio signal of the sound source G is controlled by the voice signal for each frequency band, and a human vocal sound imitation signal similar to the pronunciation of the voice signal is obtained.

By the way, voiceless fricatives f, S, f and voiced fricatives V, which play a major role in consonant intelligibility in human pronunciation,
Z, Rona is characterized by having an irregular frequency spectrum called fill, that is, having no harmonic relationship, and contains a large amount of high-frequency components.

Therefore, when a musical tone signal from an electronic organ or the like is used as the sound source G of the vocoder, if the musical tone signal does not contain sufficient high-frequency components including fricative frequency components, the output musical tone signal of the vocoder becomes clear. The degree falls.

Therefore, the present invention has been made for the purpose of providing a vocoder which can sufficiently generate the above-mentioned fricatives and improve the clarity of consonants.

FIG. 2 is a circuit block diagram of a vocoder according to an embodiment of the present invention.
A high-pass circuit X is provided in parallel to the basic circuit of a conventional vocoder as shown in FIG.
is a high-pass filter Fh that passes high-frequency components in the input voice signal, especially high-frequency components above a level where no sense of pitch can be felt, and the gate circuit S that is activated by key operation on a keyboard device.
It consists of a gate circuit S0 that turns ON and OFF at the same time as 2.

The gate circuit S1 is provided so as not to pass the high-frequency component of the voice signal when the keyboard device K is not pressed, and inputs the combined signal of the sound source G without going through the keyboard device. In this case, a musical tone signal input detector may be provided and the gate circuit S1 may be operated by a musical tone signal input detection signal obtained by the detector.

Note that in order to cut off the high-frequency components, it is sufficient to cut off the input musical tone signal, that is, to prevent the sound from being generated when there is no musical tone signal input, so the gate circuit S1 is not necessarily required.

With the vocoder configured as described above, the output signal sent out from the output terminal O in response to the raw signal input from the input terminal I is processed through the high-pass circuit Since the consonants are reproduced and mixed from among the voice signals, highly intelligible consonants can be generated.
