As is clear from the above description, in the present invention, the heat exchanger is installed in the upper part of the outer shell formed by removably attaching the front outer shell to the front opening of the rear outer shell. At the same time as being removably attached to the shell, a flashing mechanism is removably attached to the rear outer shell at the lower part of the outer shell, and the flashing mechanism is removably attached between the heat exchanger and the flashing mechanism. In the gas water heater, flat flange portions are provided on both left and right sides of the upper end portion of the gas burner, and flange portions of the gas burner are provided on both left and right sides of the lower end portion of the heat exchanger. A guide groove portion having a predetermined width in the vertical direction is provided that can be inserted from the front, and the flange portion of the gas burner is inserted into the guide groove portion of the heat exchanger in a loosely fitted state, so that the gas burner is disposed at the lower end portion of the heat exchanger. and partition plates extending horizontally and facing each other are provided inside the rear and front side outer shells, and a part of the flashing mechanism is removably attached to the partition plates of the rear outer shell. The gist of the gas water heater is characterized in that a gas conduit connected to the flashing mechanism of the gas burner is airtightly sandwiched between the partition plates.
