Claims

[Scope of utility model registration request]

It is composed of a conductor and a contact fixed to the conductor, and is driven to open and close. In a circuit breaker configured such that the conductors are substantially parallel to each other, a convex portion having a central axis perpendicular to a central axis of the main portion of the fixed conductor is formed on the fixed conductor among the conductors of the pair of contacts. At the same time, a fixed contact is fixed to the tip of the convex part, and the arc generated on the fixed contact is commutated to generate a current parallel to and in a different direction to the current flowing through the main part of the fixed conductor. A circuit breaker characterized in that an arc running plate is fixed to a side surface of the convex portion, a reinforcing wall is formed on at least one side of the arc running plate, and a surface of the reinforcing wall is covered with an insulating material.
