A ballast 5 and other circuit components 6 are attached to the lower surface of the chassis 1, and a battery storage case 9 housing a battery 8 that serves as a power source for a lamp 7 in an emergency such as a power outage is located at both ends of the chassis 1. Each is attached to the bottom surface.

In order to maintain the brightness of the lamp 7 above a certain value during a power outage, etc., a large number of batteries 8 are required, and therefore the battery storage case 9 that stores the batteries 8 tends to become larger. In addition to this battery storage case 9, the ballast 5 and other circuit components 6 must be installed, and the battery storage case 9, ballast 5, and circuit components 6 must be used for installation (L3 and power cord entry hole 4). Therefore, in order to escape through the attachment hole 3 and the power cord lead-in hole 4, the battery storage case 9 is forced to be divided, and the batteries 8 cannot be attached all at once.

As a result, the cord connecting the batteries 8 in the divided battery storage case 9 becomes long, causing a voltage drop due to the electrical resistance of the cord, making it impossible to maintain sufficient brightness of the lamp 7. This has to be done for each battery storage case 9 when replacing the battery storage case 9, which is a time-consuming process.Furthermore, the number of parts to which the battery storage case 9 is attached increases.

Further, a battery storage chamber 1 separated by the opening part 10 is provided.
A plurality of batteries 8 are housed in each of the battery compartments 17 and 18, and a groove 20 for housing a connection cord 19 for connecting the batteries 8 between these battery compartments 17 and 18 is formed between the side plate 21 of the open portion 10 and the battery housing case. 11 side plates 22.

In such a configuration, by providing the opening part 10 in the battery storage case 11, the battery storage case 11 can be made larger and a plurality of batteries 8 can be stored together on one side, thereby making it possible to connect the batteries 8. The length of the connecting cord is shortened, preventing voltage drop and maintaining the brightness of the lamp 7.In addition, the connecting cord 19 between the battery compartments 17 and 18 can be stored in the groove 20 and the connecting cord 19 can be inserted into the groove 20. Since there is only one battery storage case 11, it is possible to easily replace the battery 8 and to attach and detach the battery storage case 11.Furthermore, the chassis 1 can be mounted on the ceiling surface easily. The wiring cord 23 can be easily connected to the lower case 12 through the claw part 24 formed on the lower case 12.
This allows the wiring cord 23 to be held out of the way when attaching the battery storage case 11 to the chassis 1.

On the contrary, when the opening part 10 is aligned with the power cord lead-in hole 4, the positional relationship of each part is taken into consideration so that the mounting hole 3 is not blocked by the battery storage case 11.

In this modification, a battery storage case 26 is formed by joining a lower case 27 and an upper case 28.
A hole 29 through which a screw 14 provided on the chassis 1 is inserted is formed at one end of the 7, and a protrusion 31 hooked onto a cut-and-raised portion 30 provided on the chassis 1 is formed at the other end.

Since this invention is configured as described above, the battery storage case is made larger by providing an open part in the battery storage case, and multiple batteries can be stored together in the battery storage case. By shortening the length of the cord, voltage drop can be prevented, and by making the opening correspond to the mounting hole or power cord lead-in hole, even if the battery storage case becomes larger, it can be installed on the ceiling of the chassis, etc. There is no problem in pulling in the power cord, and since the battery storage case is integrated, the battery storage case can be easily attached and removed, and the battery can be replaced easily.
